A drifter loses her memory after an accident to find herself in a strange townStarring Christina Ricci, Ioan Gruffudd and Kerry FoxScreenplay by Anthony HorowitzDirected by Brian GilbertThis is a case of a cool idea being poorly executed. When you think about it, this is the kind of twisty idea that could only come out of Anthony Horowitz's head. But it doesn't quite work on the TV screen. It's sadly a bit of a limp biscuit as far as movies are concerned.Everything about it screams low budget. The acting, the cinematography, the location filming. It's all very underwhelming. Arguable the best actor in it, Christina Ricci herself seems miscast and none of the other acting performances are anything to shout about. This would probably make an amazing book and I'm guessing Horowitz would do a good job of it.Watchable but instantly forgettable.6/10

I usually don't write comments on here, but I thought that this movie was so bad that I had to alert fellow movie lovers that this is NOT a movie to watch. The movie contains bad acting, bad directing, bad everything. The movie drags on and at some points you can't help but fast forward.Christina Ricci's acting is so bad that you can only laugh at some parts LOL. At least pick a hotter chick if you're going to make such a bad film. I heard Megan Fox wasn't a good actor, but I automatically go deaf when she appears on the screen.I gave this movie a 1 out of 10 and I'd rather have a case of swine flu then watch this again.

I only got this one because it came free when I bought "The Mist" on DVD. I am sure glad I never bought it. I thought about it at one time, but I have never been much of a Christina Ricci fan and she is the star of this one. Unfortunately, her scenes drag the movie down, not that she is bad, but for me the most interesting scenes involved the discovery of the church. The story has a girl hit by a step mum with her kid in the car. The woman grateful the girl is okay lets her stay with her and her husband in their rather big house. The husband is a researcher of some sorts looking at the remains of the church mentioned above. There is something different about said church. There are also mysterious people showing up in town that seemingly know Ricci's character. A rather good death at the beginning of the film and a few premonition scenes like one would find in the movie "The Sixth Sense" scattered throughout the movie. Then at the end a couple of more deaths and the startling revelation which I had figured out a bit before the end. Did not really startle me. So not much horror, not much tension, a mystery that really was not to hard to figure out and the pacing was a bit slow with needless plot points. However, someone else may well think this movie is great, just not my taste.

An interesting theme, another film touching on dark or forgotten corners of religion. The slowly developing plot is shot in an uninspiring film location, but I guess that's to prevent a 'dynamic Hollywood' overkill. There is not too much firepower (good) but there are plenty of moments where any viewer would be bored in what is supposed to be thrilling. And then there is Cassy. Running around saying 'you must BELIEVE me / no get away here, it's dangerous / Michael are you OK?' she may be the right actress for the 'watch out Bambi, behind you' type of role. From the first moment I think she is the weakest link in the movie (sorry Christine fans). Her acting is a misfit in terms of motion and emotion. But I guess she can do better than this, I'm sure that any male viewer would give here that chance to prove it(here you go, fans)All in all I will surely remember the interesting plot.
