An epic drama of the story of a young man questioning his sexuality, growing up through the sixties and seventies in Quebec, born into a strictly catholic family of five brothers, each crazier than the last. C.R.A.Z.Y is a really affective film as it was one of the only films I've ever seen to make me really think about my own crazy existence and what life really means. Life is too love and to celebrate our indifferences. The outfits and nostalgic soundtrack are all exceedingly impressive, as are the performances and sequences set to music. Sometimes C.R.A.Z.Y is tongue-in-cheek, sometimes its heartbreaking and sometimes its surrealistic, however what can't be denied is this relatively unknown and genre-less epic is quite fantastic.

A deep film that should be seen by everyone: a family drama that makes you nostalgic for a past, that of the David Bowie's '60s / '70s, set in a region, Quebec, Catholic and traditionalist, which might be confused with any other European country. It is not just an lgbt film, it is a film that deals with the harsh relationship between a father who enormously loves his children, and a son who reciprocate this love refusing to accept his intimate real identity. The director, Jean-Marc Vallee, has managed to create a film that should make reflect: parents as well as children. It's a shame that this film is so little considered in Italy, at the point that it has been taken out of distribution: it should be relaunched and shown in schools for its educational value and the aesthetic value of the film itself, a masterpiece of Canadian independent cinema.

C.R.A.Z.Y. – CATCH IT (A) French Canadian C.R.A.Z.Y. is one of the finest coming of age films I've ever seen. Being a sucker for dysfunctional family movies, and C.R.A.Z.Y. does a justice to portray a family living in 1970s coming with terms of sexuality of his son. Raising five sons in one house is not easy, and so that's what we see here. Kudoz to director for keeping it real even though at times I wanted to see him push the envelope and show us how does Zac actually finally feels (sexually) being his own. Anyways it's not a big deal as the movie is gem in itself. I have to say I loved the dialogues and screenplay. Marc-André Grondin is truly spectacular, I saw him in Goon May 2012 and then I saw this movie. So watching him from playing jerk to this coming of age boy, His performance is truly heart hitting believable. Here he is not someone getting bullied by people because he fights hard against what he feels or what he is. Anyways I have become huge admirer of him. Pierre-Luc Brilliant ias Raymond is superb, the ultimate junky teaser. Michel Côté & Danielle Proulx are superb as parents of five boys surviving with whats happening to their sons. I even forgot that it's a movie and not a real family. Overall, C.R.A.Z.Y. is one of the finest coming of age or dysfunctional family movies I have ever seen. Truly deserve all the accolades and 100% rating on Rotten tomatoes.

This film is remarkable, amazing, splendid, fantastic.Anyone who watches this film can find something to relate to, whether it be the "nerd" son, the "jock", the outcast, the rebel, or the youngest, mom or dad, or even as a female since many play a role in this film.C.R.A.Z.Y. is about living life as you are, different paths we choose, religion, faith, family, friends, love, music, relationships, passion, and so much more. There are various aspects to this film and only a fool would not enjoy it! With an 8.0 average rating, you will want to check it out. Although the aspect of homosexuality might turn some away, ignorance is always something that can cause one to miss out on something special. This film has a lot to do with homosexuality, but very little actually deals with it, it's just a broad aspect of the film but it isn't mentioned too severely.Give this film a chance, you won't be disappointed, two hours well spent, two hours I'll spend many times again.
