At college Paige meets Eddie, a fellow student from Denmark, whom she first dislikes but later accepts, likes, and loves; he proves to be Crown Prince Edvard. Paige follows him to Copenhagen, and he follows her back to school with a plan.Do you remember that moment in time when Julia Stiles was something of an "it" girl? I mean, you know "10 Things I Hate About You" is a modern classic. And I remember liking "Wicked". But then I think people started figuring out she sort of has only one personality and is not really a serious actress. And frankly, she looks sort of weird. Beyond the Bourne movies and a strange miscasting in "The Omen", she faded away.I love that this film takes place in Madison and they even have the rathskeller, yet it was not filmed at all in Madison. Seems like it would have been nice to get some real exterior shots of the Madison campus rather than fat guys eating chips. If you know that Madison has a rathskeller, you have probably been there.

And since it is the job of the ever-vigilant reviewer to spot problems here we go with my notes, humbly submitted: * on paper this must have looked great, a nice twist on the old "prince charming" tale * great cast! Stiles is always good; as is Richardson; Ben Miller steals every scene not otherwise nailed down * and that is where the good news runs out. The script mysteriously cuts short the portion of the story that is the most fun (the prince incognito at school) and fast forwards into the most tedious scenes at the castle. There are editing and pacing problems galore. Almost a clinic here on how NOT to cut a movie and then the elephant in the room, the chemistry between the two young lovebirds ... does not exist. I cannot easily think of a movie with worse chemistry between the stars. When they kiss, sensitive viewers may actually grimace, that is how bad the pairing is For some mysterious reason a DTV sequel was made? Only shows that the public and the critics don't always see eye to eye

Being a young, 18 Year old male in the prime of his teenage years it comes as no surprise that I enjoy the majestic genre of Teen Rom Coms. Sunday is usually quite a 'lax day for myself and I find myself, more often than not, indulging on a late afternoon chick flick however this one i found to be quite disappointing. Had it not been for the presence of Julia Stiles i would have voted this movie lower than a 5. Luke Mably on the other hand i did not enjoy but that is just because i do not like his face or his accent. "The Prince and Me", like any movie in this category is full of illogical, unrealistic and somewhat cringe moments however I think we can all agree that this is part of the reason why we watch movies such as this. The reason I did not enjoy this movie was because unlike most other movies in its class it did not have the 'happily ever after' like i was anticipating, don't get me wrong i do enjoy the odd plot twist but when i get hit by a curveball in the second game of a T- Ball tournament I can't help but feel both used and betrayed. The ending to this movie I felt was one that left me not so much in suspense but bored, the movie could have ending 15 minutes earlier before the change in plot and my vote would be a passionate 7 however it was almost like the writers changed the ending halfway through just so they could make a second and possibly a third which i am not OK with. All in all it was fun to watch but i don't think i will ever even consider watching this film again despite Julia Stiles being one hell of a cutie.

I saw this on cable the first time, so I didn't see it from the beginning, and I liked watching the movie, until my wife turned it off. Then, I saw it on again not from the beginning...and my wife turned it off again...Then, I saw it again from the actual beginning...and was shocked to see "Manitowoc, WI" which is where my family took many weekend trips. The good old days...I was actually going to see the movie from the beginning...and then my wife turned off the movie again. Anyway, I liked the movie...the parts I saw...I didn't care that it was unrealistic and cheesy (no pun intended)...I enjoyed it. My favorite line, not from the movie but from a guy that I once worked with, Dan Bell. We were on a job in Oklahoma, and He told me that every time someone would ask where he is from, and he said they would all respond the same way, "Wisconsin, huh...What do you do with all that cheese?" (then Dan said, like I Store it in my garage). Well, do ya? Wisconsin huh...What do you do with all that Cheese? And the college girls??? In the movie, what did the commercial say? That was funny. I wish my wife would let me see the whole movie...
