This series of films of Leprechaun have so much potential. It has in film 1 such a great plot with lots of fun but where did it go wrong ? Well not at #5 because than the Franchise officially died.If you ask a famous singer to star in partly a horror movie than your doing something wrong. Okay it is partly humor but it a singer isn't meant to be a Acting Star if you ask me. Because they always look like the singer they actually are. Actors are meant to be acting and by passing them, it is a disgrace to the film industry. The acting level was so incredibly low. Warwick Davis was the only real actor who tried everything he could. And I wished I quit after #3 because his role in this films from 3 is to laugh about. Such a great actor and don't give him the huge amount of time in a movie he deserves. The acting level of the film was low but the storyline was also incredibly bad. The Leprechaun is defeated so easily while he is meant to be scary and stronger than the humans. You can't take this storyline seriously. You can't take what happen in this film seriously.I rate this film 1/10 I was really disappointed with where these films are going to.

Leprechaun in the HoodThe good thing about being a little person in the ghetto is that the bullets from the drive-bys go right over your head.Mind you, the small person in this horror-comedy also has magic to protect him.Imprisoned by a record producer (Ice-T), a malevolent leprechaun (Warwick Davis) is released by unsuspecting rap-artists: Postmaster P. (Anthony Montgomery), Stray Bullet (Rashaan Nall), and Butch (Red Grant).Determined to take back his enchanted flute that emits hypnotic notes, the Leprechaun takes South Central by storm. Now it's up to the wannabe MCs to trick the trickster into smoking a clover-laced joint so they can steal the flute back again. This fifth installment in the b-horror franchise is a cheesy send-up of the gangster genre. Its only redeeming value can be found in its gory camp and Leprechaun rap. And, who knows, maybe now all the O.G.'s will start wearing buckled high tops.Yellow Lightvidiotreviews.blogspot.ca

Have you seen what human beings do to each other, I mean man, whats the point? Yeah I've been intoxicated and seen this movie more than once. I've passionately defended this movie and fantasized about making a Leprechaun western. We make choices and we live with them. Do you want to know the plot of this movie? The plot is humans dream, and those dreams fuel us to struggle for unattainable goals, goals that ultimately destroy us. We mark our achievements with meaningless baubles and then suffer from the hollowness of these baubles. Does the Leprechaun smoke pot? Yes. Is there nudity? I don't remember but probably. There are good scenes in this movie but they appear in spite of producers wishes, y'know like no one can entirely screw up a movie, some particle always shines. I mean at some point some one has to ask why expend the effort and money to make these movies, yes Warwick Davis gets something out of this as short actors are desperate for work, Hollywood has a bias, but what do you and I get out of it? Entertainment is a nice way of saying utter pointlessness.

The leprechaun is back, and this time he is in the hood! With this fifth installment of the "Leprechaun" series, they have ventured a bit back towards what they had in parts 1 and 2, and certainly stepped it up a notch compared to parts 3 and 4. But still, "Leprechaun in the Hood" is not a horror movie. It has way too much comedy in it for that. But still it was a better experience than parts 3 and 4.I personally thought there was a bit too much focus on the music and the singing in this movie, and that (for me) brought down the entertainment value. Now, don't get me wrong, the movie is not bad, not at all, but it wasn't super great either. It is a nice little (no pun intended) comedy with elements of horror in it. Just with a tad too much music and singing. The story in "Leprechaun in the Hood" is basically the same as in all previous four movies. Someone stumbles upon the leprechaun's pot of gold, takes something from it and the leprechaun chases after his property, killing everyone in his path and throwing off quirky rhyming limericks. And hats off for Warwick Davis, because he really did it nicely in all five movies, he truly is the leprechaun and could not be replaced.
