This is one of these movies who never reached cinemas or even local TV channels.I'll be honest, I initially got the movie because of Sasha Grey and watched it 2017. Movie is from 2014 for reference. Sasha stared for 2 minutes total. I know there is a bigger and deeper story behind this movie but I just don't like it. It's a story for a girl with serious mental disorder who goes into the tower with the highest suicidal rate to live with other people with mental disorders. Random stuff happens all the time and no one remembers nothing. There are talking dogs, elevators and other talking objects. Total no sense.*random people getting electrocuted all the time*The movie is dark, not like a dark "dark", just the picture is dark. Directors love to make dark movies in order to use less visuals. But there is plenty of visuals at later point. The effects remind me of the movies from late 90's. So at the end some of the patients of the tower become superheroes lead by their disorders and there is a fight. I didn't paid much attention here since I was totally bored to death from the first 1 hour movie. If you have epilepsy don't watch this movie. If you have some weird fetishes (or want to have some weird fetishes) you have to watch THIS right now!

A young woman (Katie Cassidy) is facing her destructive multiple personalities using an experimental new procedure known as "The Siamese Burn." This film is very 1990s, reminiscent of "Donnie Darko" or "Dark City". Unfortunately, it never quite reaches those levels. Despite a great cast and decent plot, and even some people saying this has "cult following" written all over it, it just becomes too difficult to follow, and does not offer nearly enough Michelle Trachtenberg. Katie Cassidy does great, but bring on the Trachtenberg.Good casting making Sasha Grey the "bunny", though... she is finding her transition to mainstream films awfully smooth.

I LOVE this film! Is it for everyone? No. If you're looking for a simplistic 1-2-3 "do it by the numbers" storyline, this one is probably not for you.Having said that, as a visual and experiential art piece, this is certainly one of the more interesting explorations into the universe of filmcraft one might encounter, way outside the box from the usual collection of quasi mediocre attempts at this sort of artform one might encounter on NF or elsewhere. Somewhere between the boundaries of sci-fi, psych drama, and somewhat twisted crime thriller, it's not exactly easy to fit this film into any one specific category . . . which makes "the Scribbler" all the more interesting. This production was a risky undertaking, and though far from being completely perfect, considering the layers of complexity attempted in weaving this story together as an engaging experience, the effort and end result here can definitely be appreciated.Have never seen Katie Cassidy at work before, but she delivers her character here quite plausibly. The other characters being developed are a bit varied in depth, though Michelle Trachtenberg does stand out as being uniquely "her". The core concept is in the exploration of mental illness, particularly at the intersection of multiple personality disorder, schizophrenia . . . and the peculiar nature of experimental treatments applied (of which there is a quite a history of in the real world).Beyond that, I'm not going to say much about the actual twists and turns of the plot line as it develops. Any attempt to do so would hover dangerously close to a spoiler alert, which is something I never do in film reviews. But, if you're looking for something more than a bit different, but still entirely engaging, this might well be worth the time spent.

Intelligent movies are a rare breed. Generally films about twisted minds disintegrate into horrible 'thriller/horror' clichés. It's refreshing to see a film that so purely encompasses a highly intelligent but damaged mind. Agreed that not everyone will like this film. It doesn't make them stupid, but the film will always be appreciated by those who can recognize how twisted a mind becomes when you see the world from a diametrically opposite view to 'normal'.I won't go into the details, but believe me, if you liked sucker punch then you will absolutely love this.Layers upon layers of characters, every scene, every background music resonates with literary genius! I am just sad that the movie ended, and that I might not see another one Luke this for a long time.
