Sam Holloway (Bill Pullman) and Elizabeth Anderson (Julia Ormond) are FBI agents tracking a pair of serial killers. They are in a small town where some killings have just taken place and they are questioning the three witnesses. One witness is a police officer whose partner was murdered. A second witness is a coke slut (Pell James) whose boyfriend was killed. The third is an eight (almost nine) year old girl (Ryan Simpkins) whose family was murdered. They divide the three of them up and each group is questioned separately. The movie consists of flashbacks that conflict with the story that is being told. You immediately know something is amiss and the point of the film is to figure out the twist. Ryan Simpkins was perhaps the most interesting in the group. The twist isn't that great by today's standards, although the film did hold my interest.PARENTAL GUIDE: F-Bomb, kinky sex scene, no nudity

This is the slowest and worst film I have ever watched!! Please no one ever watch this movie!! It's 2 hour of your lives you will wish you could get back. There is nothing in this movie worth watching. The acting is terrible. Everything about the movie is completely obvious right from the beginning. What a let down for bills career. This film should have never been created. I hope that whoever created this movie never makes anything like this movie ever again, the world does not need anything like this ever. this film was so bad it should be erased from every film archive and we should all just act like this movie didn't hapen

A pair of killer is on the loose in Nebraska of all places,, a massacre occurs, and their are 3 survivors,, they are picked up by the local police and brought in for questioning,, alas the FBI shows up and has questions of their own,, a young woman 20 ish,, a little girl,, and a cop with a bad reputation are our survivors,, they each have different stories to tell and each one is different from the other, and leaves bits and pieces out so you're not sure who the heck the killer or killers really are,, Bill Pullman,, and Michael Ironside do great jobs in their perspective roles, later on as things are slowly revealed we start to get a clearer picture of who the killers may be,, nice big twist at the end I never seen coming, excellent thriller with lot's of twists.

I so wish I had taken the time to read the reviews here before I traumatized myself by watching this garbage. I thought that because it had some recognizable actors/actresses in it, it would have some redeeming qualities. At first, it catches your attention, because you're not exactly sure of what you're seeing. The format of showing flashbacks to previous events was used, but you were never sure of what was going on. I knew from the description that it was the point of view of three different witnesses, so I was expecting some confusion. What I wasn't expecting was how violent it turned, and without any purpose. I can handle violence if it is part of a story that makes sense, but this was too much. Then it ended as poorly as I was expecting, leaving a bitter taste for my time wasted. It actually left me feeling violated. I hope that his review will prevent somebody else from being abused by watching this trash. I have seen literally thousands of movies that are so much better than this. I'm actually shocked that somebody paid to make this movie. Bill Pullman needs to fire his agent and show better judgment in the movie roles he takes.
