Parallels (2015)

At the end of movie there was an intense feeling of good amount of time wasted. I mean really, how can you believe that an electronic hobbyist or tech savvy person just turned out to be so advanced and good that he tapped into the buildings computer system, that a superior world made. Also the parallel world Tinker was OK with 6 grand worth of electronics and real person never cared to call police for identity theft. Looked a mishmash of classic, I am not a good son, dad relation issues, a misunderstood kid. A lot of unanswered things not in suspense way , but just randomly thrown in. It would be a good TV show, but its not clicking as a movie.

Where are these high reviews coming from? Either fake reviews paid for by the film maker or todays population is getting dumber.I think the idea is great. Strange building jumps between parallel universes, brother and sister on a quest to find out how their family is involved, got to get to the core world, etc etc Premise is right up my street and if I was pitched that as a TV Show, I couldn't give it the green light fast enough. How great would it be, each episode is of a new world that adds another piece of the puzzle.HOWEVER.The writers have royally screwed it up. The script is amateur at best, filled with predictable clichés, decisions of the characters makes absolutely no sense, acting is so wooden... but what do you expect when they were given such a terrible script to work with. It generally was painful to watch. I can't believe at how great a job they did at completely butchering such a promising idea.

This is not a movie, it's a pilot, a first double episode of what was supposed to become a show. I wish I knew before I wasted my time.You can clearly notice it looks and plays like a TV show, but I liked the premise so I didn't mind. Until the end. When it just stopped. Last line "See you soon" or some bullshit. Then nothing more.This is like selling you the first chapter of a book as "a book". Ehm ... it isn't really a book, we just made the first chapter, an introduction to something that we didn't really do after all... Could have been a decent show. Could have been a decent movie, maybe 7/10 or 8/10, but as it is now, just a beginning and nothing more, it's a waste of everybody's time. Thus 3/10. Maybe 2/10. I'm so upset.
