Blancanieves (2013)

This deserves no more than 5 minutes to understand what it's worth. What the film wants from you.Btw, this is no silent, neither sound, this is no film at all actually. Just a poor trailer-like film of a director who doesn't know that an actor may act and not just be a poor fashion model in a "beautiful" frame. Just see the three repeated (or more?) shots on the two women (mother and daughter in the arena) : poor playing, giggling. Now, the use of black and white ??? I let you guess the motivations of the director. And why no dialogs ??? Guess too... This guy is just reluctant to reality which is the blood of cinema. Yes, even a fairytale should be real, and dreams and nightmares are full of (The night of the hunter, for ex.) but there's too overblown intentions here to make any real things appear. Just plain propaganda of feelings. Just photographs following one another. If this director'd have been honest (or just a director), he'd renounce to movement too (in fact he did in the worst way possible) and would have just proposed a slide show.The story telling suffers the same hammering (the fall of the hat with a slow motion is so heavy that we can't afterward care for the twist of fate, the fact that it was not for his death but for hers... ) Anyway, actors having not been able to play this correctly, I decided enough was enough and quit my seat. (My God, has this guy seen more than 5 silent films in his life ??? Is Spain and its cinema in such a profund crisis ?)

This is my first ...I simply can not stay silent after seeing the score of this shame..... abusing animals in the name of what?????The Superior Court of Justice of Madrid ordered the "Madrid" to start an expedient sanctioning those responsible for the film "Snow White" for the death of nine bulls during the filming of the film in the bullring of Aranjuez.The complaint in this case came from the "Asociación animalistic Strategy - Platform No Es La Tortura Culture" in July 2011. The Association recorded images which show that during the shooting of the film, were attacked and killed nine animals (cattle breed of deal) at bullring of Aranjuez, in clear violation of the law. In October of the same year, the lawsuit was filed after a resolution of the Deputy Director General of Land Resource of Madrid, strengthened by resolution of the General Director of Environment. However, the Superior Court of Justice of Madrid now forced Madrid to start an expedient sanctioning those responsible for the film, due to the death of nine bulls during filming in the bullring of Aranjuez, without the proper authorization to perform a show public, ie a tauromachian event. CAS International started a petition with the Spanish platform La Tortura No es Cultura (torture is no culture), the international organization Animal Defenders International and the Dutch Internet community PiepVandaag to request the commission responsible for the nominations not to vote in favor of Blancanieves and preferably not to allow a vote on the movie at all. The movie Blancanieves promotes animal abuse. Furthermore we know that 9 bulls have been used and killed during the production of Blancanieves. ALL JUST FOR MONEY??? VARY SHAMEFUL!!!

it is not an answer to The Artist. it is not exactly an adaptation of the brothers Grimm. it is a Spanish story in a wonderful manner. the performance, the music, atmosphere and each scenes are parts of a real gem. Maribel Vertu does one of her memorable roles. and presence of Angela Molina is inspired, delicate and seductive. it is a homage but not only for an age of cinema. it is a homage for a type of art, literature, joy, beauty and love expression. a show, of course but one who broken many frontiers. the end is admirable. the white/black image not a tool but skin for a ball of feelings for who the color is just oppressive. the best part - maybe its special delicacy. the precise use of melodrama. the taste of humor and revolt, sadness and joy. the discover of old bricks who was used for Don Quijote by Cervantes. the frame of cruelty, the force of innocence, the heart of freedom and courage, the slices of authentic mute movie, the silk of dream and pink novel, the crust of adventure, the universal motifs in a warm light.
