Shivaay (2016)

Shivaay is an over-stretched (almost 3 hours) average film that is used by Ajay Devgan (Producer and Director) for self-promotion, nothing else.It will appeal only to the masses not the classes.MERITS OF SHIVAAY 1- Awe-inspiring snow-clad mountainous locations where many action scenes are performed plus one love-making scene in a tent dangling from a cliff.2 - The convincing acting of a mute girl played by the adorable Abigale Eames.3 - Some heart-pumping stunts which you usually see in Hollywood movies.4 - The background music in some scenes is thrilling and can keep you transfixed.5 - The songs can hardly be called memorable!DEMERITS OF SHIVAAY 1 - It is an unnecessarily long film, which suggests poor Editing! The reason is obvious. Why would Ajay chop…chop his own scenes when he himself is the Director? 2 - The story is just a flimsy excuse to showcase all kinds of stunts in heavenly locations.2 - There is one BORING car chase inside the city. I wonder who was Ajay trying to impress with this boring chase. I suspect he ran out of ideas! LOL!3 - The last 20 minutes is totally stupid, over-stretched and unconvincing! While Ajay was injured by helicopter gunship and attacked by the mafia (but still alive - Can you believe that?!!!), his daughter (Gaura) was standing near the tunnel looking terrified - and with a stupid background song playing. What nonsense! Within a few seconds we see Gaura reunited with her mother (Olga, Ajay's former lover) who is now married. Immediately thereafter we see that Gaura is living in the lap of luxury, with toys everywhere.Ajay suddenly becomes sad as he cannot afford all this and, therefore, departs for the airport.Suddenly at the airport Gaura comes running to him and tears up the tickets…cries…and indicates that she wants to live with him - with Olga standing in the background.And then - THE END! What retarded nonsense is this?PS: There are some 2-legged donkeys here who consider Shivaay a CLASSIC! We've millions of such 2-legged donkeys who praise films which should actually be in the dustbin.

My rating is based TOTALLY on what I feel like, after watching the movie.OK, the topic(s), in the movie is regarding love? human traffic? Ajay Devgan should remain an actor, and please STOP directing movies! many of the shots were weird!I was expecting the movie to be on human traffic issues and the way to tackle it, but the movie does not show anything as such, DISAPPOINTED as the topic chosen was good but execution was EXTREMELY poor!The helicopter firing on Ajay And Ogla, at least 1000 fires (helicopter plus the gunmen) were shot and NONE of them hit Ajay or the girl, SUPER LOL, this is worse than the TOLLYWOOD movies! :PThe whole movie direction was quite misguided!!Overall, I think it is a ONE TIME watch only movie!!

Shivaay is one of the best action n emotion drama in Bollywood. VFX was amazing, As a Director Ajay Devgn has done fab job.Superbly executed the story line with beautiful locations.The action was par Hollywood.Its like a Hollywood movie. Ajay Devgn is really a fantastic actor and director too. He pulled it off beautifully.The hard work and effort shows in the movie. Tailor was fabulous and the movie too good.A complete family entertainer with full of emotions n drama. A father - daughter relationship bond was amazing.Its similar story of Taken but for Bollywood its the best. In every aspects the movie far better than any Hindi movie till date. Every character in this movie played very well especially the finest actor in Bollywood AJ n Debutante Sayesha, Erika, Abigail. All are fantastic. The Stunt was mind blowing. Sayesha screen presence was lovely. As a debutante she is quite impressive. Full marks to Ajay Devgn for making such a lovely movie. Congratulation n hats off to the Team Shivaay. HIT !!!

Going to start off by saying that had any of the 'Khans' starred in the movie, no doubt the film would have done record business all over the world!! It's a shame that the audience appear to be brainwashed or are living in a world totally different to the one I'm living in. I watched this movie with my family and as stated from the promos, it was a film full of emotion/action/drama/suspense...basically the complete package, complete out an out family entertainer, money worth spending on. You have your other run of the mill movies which you can watch on Netflix etc and it wouldn't make a difference. You will be doing injustice to watch this movie anywhere else other than on the big screen to capture the beautiful cinematography and special effects. After a long time Bollywood has came out with a movie worth watching and is up there with movies from the West.. Unfortunately, the justice was not done for reasons which baffle me simply because when it comes to 'acting', you will not find a finer 'actor' than Ajay Devgn in the Bollywood film industry, those who beg to differ need a reality check in life!! He has given one of his best performances which instead of being appreciated, the 'hate' brigade are out to criticise him.. I hope that this movie provides to be a stepping stone for other directors to get out of their 'comfort zone' and try something different... All the best to AD for his forthcoming projects, looking to see you on the big screen again...
