I absolutely loved this movie. A friend of mine told me constantly to watch it, and at first i was hesitant to because i've seen Christian movies before and they all tend to have crappy acting, thin storyline, cliché lines, and just be overall cheesy. But after like the 20th time of her telling me i said OK and i watched. Afterwards i immediately thanked her because this movie is incredible. It's not about religion, it's not about coming to Christ, it's not about changing your life or anything like that, but it's about what a Christians true mission in life should be, which is saving lives and impacting the world around you. Jake didn't just become some Christian and then sit at home reading his bible and then go sit at church every Sunday, he acted to make a difference on the lives of the people around him. he did everything he could to let the hurt kids know that he saw them, they weren't alone, and someone would miss them if they took there life. The acting, the drama, the humor, the message, all excellent in this movie.

This is a awesome movie for any age. The story is very good and something we should all remember not to do. In the movie you will realize that if you let people join your group and be nice, it can save a lot. In the movie there is Jake's friend Roger who killed himself because he felt like no one was there with him. Jake feels that this could have been prevented if he hadn't of ditched Roger for a girl in fresh-man year. After the death of Roger, Jake decided something must be done about teen suicidal. Another guy at his school is being bullied and doesn't seem to be happy. Jake says that he needs to do something. The guy was thrilled to have Jake Taylor a senior basketball star that sits with all the cool kids come and see if he wants to sit with him. Those two started to hang out and get to know each other. Jake asked him if he ever wanted to kill himself. He said no. Jake and this girl Amy start having an affair with each other and being each others dates to the parties. Jake gets Amy pregnant and they both decide to give the baby away for adoption but they will not get an abortion. Later on, after the baby is born Jake moves and when he is about to leave the guy came over and gave him a note. It read: Dear Jake, when you asked me if i ever wanted to kill myself, i said no but until you came along i was thinking about it. You saved my life. Thank you. It was a sad but amazing movie and it shows that if you care for someone stuff will change.

I've seen a lot of movies and this is a very good movie covering all the aspects of a tragedy. I've seen some movies that put the 'GOD' factor out there as the end all beat all way to go, but this movie has done it very tastefully and not preach the all mighty too much. There have been lots of movies out there that take tragedies and deal with the human element and not go near the religious side of things, but this movie could have cut a couple scenes on it.What I did like was how well the story dealt with how many children these days are faced with peer pressures and not know how to deal with them or have others out there to turn to. If all families could take the time to see this movie and make the effort for themselves as well as their children to be better people than they might all ready be.Life is full of challenges, but we don't have to struggle through them alone if people would keep an open mind and heart to others.

This is such a gripping tale of the suffering kids face these days. With suicide rates high, people need to understand what the mocking and outcasting of people does to them. I believe this is a great movie to show that even the little things we do to hurt people, can end up as a big thing that person does to hurt them self's or others. People have become hard to the pain of others. Hopefully this will awaken some softness in more people. This movie showed me I need to be more aware of the people around me, and their pain. Jeff Buckley put it a great way, he said "Sensitivity isn't being wimpy; it's about being painfully aware that a flea landing on a dog is like a sonic boom". So don't think you're being 'wimpy' for caring, You're being strong enough to show you care. This movie has left such an impression in me, and I believe it will in any one else who watches it. So please do.
