"Fire with fire" tells the story of a firefighter, who witnesses a racist crime and hsa to change his identity in order to remain safe before the court hearing. Unfortunately, he falls in love with the agent that is supposed to take care of him and soon both find themselves surrounded by some most dangerous men. From the general plot, the movie is more or less your average thriller. It delivers a decent storyline, has some action, some romance and personal tragedy. The acting is solid and you sure can watch the film without boredom. On the other hand the characters are a bit overdrawn. But what disturbed me the most is that most of the dialogues are just so cheesy and full of pathos thar at some points it was really hard to bear. It is okay to exaggerate a bit but drowning the film in unbelievable emotions didn't suit the production. All in all this is a decent thriller with potential for more but surely no game-changer and should be watched as lighter entertainment rather than as something twisted and tricky.

In Long Beach, there is a turf war going on. Firefighter Jeremy Coleman (Josh Duhamel) is a witness to a murder and has been placed in the witness protection program where he falls in love with a US Marshall (Rosario Dawson). Bruce Willis plays local police chief Mike Cella who would like very much to see crime boss David Hagan (Vincent D'Onofrio) go to jail. While in the program, the bad guys find out where Jeremy is located and threaten to kill everyone Jeremy knows and their family. Jeremy goes vigilante in order to save himself and everyone else. He also gives us overwhelming clues about the ending.I liked the climax of the film, in spite of the fact I knew it was coming from 30 minutes into the film. The script was overly predictable and the dialouge wasn't moving. Vinnie Jones gives us a brief bad guy, and likewise 50 Cent wasn't on screen that long. I would have liked to have seen more of Willis in the film.Might work as a 99 cent rental for some people. Not a keeper.Parental Guide: F-bombs, implied sex scene, no nudity. Torture. Bullet holes in the head.

Muddled and confusing, plodding and slow-moving. Airhead children becoming accidental heroes. Bruce Willis is totally wasted. Not as much as in 'Cold Light Of Day', and 'Extraction', for he has a lot more screen time, but his character could be eliminated from this script, and no one would notice. Can't believe he did this movie. And, Willis is not the only thing wasted. I wasted 97 minutes of my precious time watching it. The only thing positive I can say about it is that Vincent D'Onofrio is good actor. It takes a good actor to make one hate his character, and he did that very well, though he, too, is far above this garbage. Avoid it at all costs!!

Think about a mafia boss who organizes a mafia system in 50 states but he is killing someone in gas station or somewhere else. That kind of person has to be in close follow-up by authorities. He can easily all information about someone who is in an witness protection program. It has not to be possible any officer can reach that kind of info. Maybe that movie can be a sample how you make mistakes. Meanwhile it cannot be easy to reach that kind of mafia bosses and their locations I think. However you can see some active scenes. For example the woman police see the bullet in the air just like the matrix. One of them entered into her head but she did not have any scare on her face.
