The acting was wooden. The gang wouldnt scare anyone, whoever cast them was poor. If one if them kids were tied up and threatened like they were they would crap themselves. Im a 50 year old bloke and would scare them just by looking at them

A gang of mindless scroats kill an old miscreant' brother. The ex-eastender gangster and his chums take revenge, in the old fashioned way.I am currently watching this for the second time, largely to see if the scroats were as stupid as I remember the first time I watched it. They are! How anyone, whilst tied up and under 'duress' can issue threats of death to the old fellas, if they don't let them go, is beyond me. Just demonstrates how utterly stupid and arrogant young miscreants are.I DO love it when the low-lifes get their comeuppance. Ian Ogilvy is splendid in his role and should be doing more since 'The Saint".I seldom write reviews ( this is my second ) except when praise ( in this case ) or derision is necessary.

STAR RATING: ***** Saturday Night **** Friday Night *** Friday Morning ** Sunday Night * Monday Morning Richie (Ian Oglivy) is an East End gangster who has retired to Spain with his daughter. However, back in London, his brother Charlie (Steven Berkoff) intervenes when a young woman is about to be gang-raped, and gets stomped to death for his troubles. Upon hearing this, Richie returns from Spain, and re-unites his old firm, including Arthur (James Cosmo), Butch (Tony Denham) and Roy (Chris Ellison) to head out on to the streets and punish those responsible. But the gang leader, Aaron (Danny-Boy Hatchard) and his group of menaces won't go down without a fight either. If you consider crime in Britain, and what it was and what it's progressed to over the years, it does produce an interesting distinction, and makes you wonder what would happen if the older generation and the younger lot were to clash. So, in theory, We Still Kill the Old Way has a lot of potential, but in execution it's sadly a different matter.A group of older actors, with a long and varied background in theatre and television, but who between them never really made much of a lasting impression, form what you might call the 'good guys', while that muppet from East Enders plays the villain with his hilarious 'yoof' accent. Altogether, there's just a massively amateurish feel to all of it, culminating in an absolutely nonsensical showdown in a hospital that perfectly trims it all off. **

Not going to rehash the plot line but my expectations were minimal at first but the movie surprised me. But then again i'm an old fart like the protagonist and i've been around the street a few times myself mates.Sit back and enjoy the relationship between these former bad boys reunited to avenge the death of one of their own. It's brimming with hilarity.Might not be your cup of tea but i enjoyed the show. Of course you'll be cheering for the lads to give those ruffians a good thrashing.Happy viewing.Cheers!
