Godzilla vs. Gigan (1977)

This is a very good movie. The beast Godzilla movie is the remake from 1998. You don't have to agree. But if your mad about it I'm from Canada that's a free county so get over it you big pooh pooh heads. This is the 12th Godzilla movie. It is also the 6th M.o.t.r.a movie. It is not as good as the 12th M.o.t.h.r.a movie at would also be part 25 to the Japan Godzilla series it is called Godzilla M.o.t.h.r.a and King G.h.i.d.o.r.a.h giant monsters on an all out attack. It is all so not as good as Godzilla Tokyo S.O.S. That would part 27 to the Japan Godzilla series. It would also be the 13th M.o.t.h.r.a movie. That one is also better. Godzilla Final war would part 28 to the Japan Godzilla series. It would also be the 14th M.o.t.h.r.a movie. That one would also be better. All the M.o.t.h.r.a movie are good. And most of the Godzilla movie are good. See this movie it's great. It's very cool. Godzilla and M.o.t.h.r.a movie are OK for kids but there good for adults to. Hockey is for kids and adults that like it are big kids. I would know when Ottawa plays my dad turns into a little kid. This movie is great see it.

...and i don't regret it one bit.This is classic kid-friendly Godzilla, doing for man what man can't do for himself; fend off yet another alien invasion by interstellar miscreants with a disgusting secret.The characters are dynamic, and again kid friendly, and the actors who play them actually do a fairy decent job of it, making the film that much easier to enjoy. And, as for Gojira himself, we get to witness the more dynamic and athletic Godzilla battle yet again the aliens' secret weapons; a couple of space monsters; Gigan and King Ghidorah!Accompanying Gojira is Megaruis, a.k.a. Anzilla from "Godzilla's Revenge", but, like the well meaning best friend who comes to support his buddy, he's more monster fodder than anything else.However corny, hokey, and sometimes just plain fake the Japanese effects are, there's something really compelling about Godzilla that brings us back for more.If you're single, pop in a copy for a trip down memory lane. If you have a family, then watch it with your son and enjoy some bonding time with the king of all monsters.Enjoy!

"Godzilla vs. Gigan" isn't up to par with the rest of the films in the Godzilla series. The acting is average at best,there isn't much action until the end of the film and the dubbing is terrible. The monsters themselves are pretty cool and I did enjoy the scene where Godzilla and Anguirus speak to each other in distorted English! As far as the aliens invading earth, Toho Studios decided on intelligent cockroaches. Umm...OK. Not the most effective part of the plot(if one can call it that). This is typical Godzilla-style mayhem and fans of the big G will want to check this out once. If you're not a fan, skip it. There are much better Godzilla films out there.

The last poster commented on seeing this Godzilla film in the theater and loved it. As for me I got to see ALL the 70's and 60's Godzilla films in theaters. I grew up on air force bases and Saturday afternoons always brought Godzilla movies ( and other Japanesse and even American BIG BUG movies) to the base theater.25 cents for admission and a bag of my mom's home popped corn and a Shasta cola and I was in Helen! I even remember going to see "Godzilla vs. The Bionic Monster" but then they where sued and the title changed to "Godzilla vs. the Cosmic Monster". I am still a Godzilla geek. In fact, My wife just bought me a whole set of Godzilla toys even tho she has no Idea about the Godzilla universe.
