Just watched this via Netflix. I am veteran as well, so was curious about this. Startling in its realism. Both action wise and its message. Very entertaining for an action-drama. Like Brian Cox here. All other actors did a sufficient job. The messages portrayed here, really hit home. The war has just begun. Live by the sword. Die by the sword. A line uttered by Alayna re: Al-Quaida, will be most disturbing to most, but is very accurate. Langdon scoffing at the remark, later confirms the statement to Miller towards the end, about the need for world domination via terror. (9/11, 7/7, Mumbai, etc.)A brutal display of life in the intelligence community. A must see for all that can stomach the real world, as it really is.

This film shows the aftermath of a Veteran returning home to England after serving in the middle east. The streets, the gang activity were a nuisance to this honorable young man. He was a man of "special talents" learned through combat. The local gangs, thugs brought about him unleashing his abilities on them. Tony Kebbell's very thorough movements when in a tactical situation were astounding. Having a professional background in Tactical Operations myself, I truly appreciated how he carried out his moves and handling of an AR / M-4 type weapon. Here was a man that wanted peace and tried to help others, only to be pulled back into using these methods learned. Sad but sometimes a reality. Excellent movie overall.

This movie was very good... but after a while in to the movie I noticed it was going way to slow, though still good enough for me to enjoy. Then when the ending came..I was furious...WHY the heck do all these low budget movies have to have these type of endings where the guy doesn't get the girl, or the main character dies??????? I don't get understand this trash writing!!!!! This is not entertaining, We want to see the cliché, we want to see the happy ending in a sense. What worth is it to have the main character that you come to love get killed and an ending to a story that leaves no justice with the bad guy winning??????? Wow Mathew Hope You are a Moron. And all director / writers like you are too. I can not believe you get funding for garbage movies like this. You disappointing talentless losers.DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE!! I WARN YOU the main actor is great, to bad the writers/ director sucks at doing there job.

I already knew, when I bought it, that this film would be for me. The UK noir crime film at his best. With an unavoidable social background, British oblige, we watch here the story of an ex soldier in Afghanistan who gets back in his neighbourhood and has to deal with everything and every one: dealers, terrorists seed, misery...I rapidly thought of one of the early Denzel Washington's film: FOR QUEEN AND COUNTRY, where he played here exactly the same kind of character. A man in struggle with a hopeless fate, a former SAS soldier Falklands war vet. Dark, violent, superbly shot and characterized, a very good feature.
