After moving in with her grandmother, a teen's obsession with a teacher at her new school starts to border on the obsessive until it soon appears to everyone that she may be involved in the rapidly-growing body count around him. There isn't a whole lot going on for this one to really make much of an impact in what's going on and it really tends to drag on in the beginning when there's no body count to speak of and it really only has McGowan walking around in halter-tops and other revealing attire to provide any interest. Even several sex scenes can't mask the fact that this one doesn't have much of anything going on in this half, as they're not that erotic or sexual and just tend to make the film's slow opening all the more irritating. This is also due to the fact that the lame detective investigation angle just ends up going nowhere and appears to be there to pad out time, illustrated with the pointless-but-nonetheless-humorous approach of their quizzing each other about various mental diseases does make up somewhat for their lack of interest. The other big problems here are the constant and utterly banal religious arguments that frequently come to a head because of the two characters, which aren't that interesting and just tend to get old very fast, as well as the sheer lack of nudity from the main cast-member despite there being two distinct moments where that could've been accomplished with relative ease, especially with its overall feel of an Erotic Thriller made all the more sense. There's some decent deaths in the last half that provide some gore, but overall it's too little too late to save it.Rated R: Graphic Violence, Nudity, Graphic Language, some Sexual Situations and a Rape scene

This film is very strong, it has such a solid approach, sure it's a very used plot, but this film makes it very original. It's creepy, original, funny, suspenseful, real, thrilling, The plot is great, the acting is pretty good. Rose McGowan is an amazing actress and brings the Debbie Strand character to life in the most real, strong, and graceful way. Rose basically made this film. It's easy to like Debbie Strand, yeah she's an obsessed psychotic crazy chick, but at the same time, you kind of like her and feel bad for her at times, you can relate to her at times. It's cool how she's like a hot bad girl. It's awesome how it starts out like a small school-girl crush, then slowly turns deadly. The only thing, it'd be nice to see some more action and death scenes. Still a great film, and the score just couldn't get any better, it sounds so artist-like beautiful. It also sounds chilling and creepy at the right times. Let's not forget Rose is HOT! I give it a 10/10, don't pay attention to people who trash the film, give it a chance anyway. I definitely recommend.

Rose McGowan is a killer in this movie in several ways. Her character's mannerisms and style are to die for. It's true that Rose McGowan does outshine the rest of the cast, but what's a sneaker next to a stiletto anyway? I think that this movie is an Oscar worthy for the b-rated films category and other glitter gutter trash. If you have affection for cheesy horror flicks where the devilish temptress may or not get her way then watch this movie. And if anything it's enjoyable to watch her slay her next victim. So, if you get the chance snag "Devil in the Flesh" its good till the last drop. (By the way one of my favorite parts to this movie is the beginning.)

Bought the DVD because I'm a Rose McGowan fan, and was actually mildly surprised! Despite the VERY unnecessary sex scene in the middle, the plot was quite good (but laughable!) There were a few decent plot-twists (some you can see coming a mile off!). But some parts were very cringe-worthy. All in all a slightly disturbing and dark film. The acting is not Oscar worthy, but Rose McGowan's performance is actually very convincing! Probably the best she's ever been. The character of Debbie is quite complex- a villain who you grow to pity-Rose plays her excellently. But the character of the teacher (who's name actually slips my mind...) is slightly unbelievable, though well portrayed.A film most likely to be appreciated at a teenage girls' sleepover! And for males there's the benefit of Debbie Strand's rather skimpy outfits.
