I never actually review any old movie but I think this movie is worth reviewing, American R-rated teen movie have lost what I can say, the real comedy with a good plot, they always think, with cursing so much, do a lot of sexual preference stuff will be funny. Its not actually. Its do funny sometime but cant we just avoid the cursing sketches. Secret Admirer just need a piece of paper as the center of attraction and with that only the story is moving really well. I just need 3 other line to complete my other bad English review but lets give this movie a try, even though this is not a best movie ever but its still good, ever. Sometime, one good movie from 80s is better than 10 good movie from 21st century.

It's the last day of school. Michael Ryan (C. Thomas Howell) receives an anonymous love letter. His buddies convince him that it's from hot Deborah Fimple (Kelly Preston). Roger Despard (Casey Siemaszko) and Michael crash a college party to talk to her but she dismisses him. The guys get kicked out and they crash their van. Michael goes to talk to Deborah's friend Toni (Lori Loughlin) who seems to like him. He writes his own anonymous letter which is stolen by his brother Jeff (Corey Haim) leading to misunderstandings by everybody who reads it. Toni keeps rewriting Michael's letter before passing it on to Deborah.I don't particularly find the misunderstandings other than the core trio all that funny. It's probably funny as a concept but not in the execution. I just keep wanting to return to the teen rom-com anyways. C. Thomas Howell and Lori Loughlin are nice young stars. They are functional together as long as the movie stays with them. They make a nice trio Cyrano de Bergerac with Kelly Preston. I just don't care about large chunks of this movie.

Secret Admirer along with Can't Buy Me Love are two of the most underrated 80s movies I've seen. It is rated R so it is realistic with how teenagers act/talk (sex, partial nudity, f-bombs, drinking, etc.) but it still has heart. C. Thomas Howell is extremely likeable as the lead as is Lori Loughlin (Jesse's wife in Full House) as his female friend. Kelly Preston (John Travolta's real-life wife) is annoying but extremely hot (hooray for boobies!). Scott McGinnis plays the typical bad guy well, I laugh when he runs after the van after the guys crash the frat party (watch that mullet swing!). The movie is extremely funny is subtle ways that many will not understand because it is above the bodily fluids humor in teen movies today. It also has a strong 80s supporting cast including Corey Haim as Howell's younger brother, Dee Wallace-Stone as his mom (also the mom in E.T.), Fred Ward as Preston's Dad (Tremors, Remo Williams), and Courtney Gains as Howell's friend who is also in my other underrated 80s movie, Can't Buy Me Love.In my top 5 80s movies and I've seen a lot, 10 out of 10!

A teenagers secret admirer note is falls into the hands of several people and of course each assumes it is directed to them written by their crush.. a lame comedy that degenerates quickly into predictable nonsense. On a scale of one to ten..3
