A non-typical "Elvis Movie" with charming story line, terrific acting by The King, great supporting cast with Arthur O'Connell, Joanna Moore (Tatum O'Neil's mom), Simon Oakland and Roland Winters (who Elvis movie fans will remember as Elvis' father in "Blue Hawaii"). This movie could have been the pilot for the Beverly Hillbillies with Elvis as a Jethro Bodean meets Peter Sellers "Chauncy The Gardener" from Being There character. Elvis fans will love his performance, particularly as the family's lawyer in the courtroom scene near the end of the film. Very touching performance.A very underrated Elvis film. Elvis is a natural in this story of homesteading in Florida - some of the lines are real beauties. Great locations too! This is not your regular Elvis film - he get's good support from the rest of the cast. Go on - give it a go - you'll be pleasantly surprised. If you didn't like Elvis before, when this movie is over you can't help but love him afterward.

This movie is Elvis Presley at his best. He plays an innocent good old boy who decides to homestead with his family in Florida. The cast includes Arthur O'Connel and Anne Helm and is definitely a superb production. The plot is good, and I would definitely recommend this movie as a family video. My family loves it.Some people may say that Elvis' character is stupid, but a close examination reveals that his character is just too innocent to comprehend the underhanded tactics of the people around him. Elvis' character proves his intelligence in a stirring speech delivered near the end of the movie which Elvis performed brilliantly. This is a great movie that you will want to watch over and over

Great movie. One of the best Elvis ever made. Shows a side of Elvis not many have seen. Lot of great songs. Good story line. Nothing i dislike about this movie. Wish he had done more on the same line as this one. Thats why or one of the reasons Elvis is # 1. Wish there were more movies like this. Good, clean and just a great movie for all the family. Great actors in this movie to. What more could a person want in a movie. Elvis made about 8 to 10 good movies. Some of the others were sub par i think. But he done what was given to him. And he was the greatest singer to ever step up to the Mic. Some of the actors that were in the movie are no longer with us. He had great group around him.

i grew up being a huge Elvis fan. when your young you don't discern. so Elvis was like a god. he has done some really outstanding stuff and also some things that have been incredibly bad. follow that dream is a movie in which Elvis actually acts. he is very funny in it. it puts me into mind some of the characters John Travolta plays. it would have been nice to see Elvis play a character with some innocence and also with an edge to him. this is a sappy movie, but it is fun to watch Elvis in it. another good Elvis movie is The Trouble With Girls. He strolls in with extreme coolness. great camera work, too. Check out the song, Tomorrow Is A Long Time.
