Shamitabh (2015)

The movie Shamitabh is a Indian comedy-drama film written and directed by R. Balki.The theme of the movie was just an average. But related scenes and sets of Imaginary field was very nice. The film features Amitabh Bachchan, Dhanush and Akshara Haasan. the soundtrack album and background score was good. The story of Movie was interesting .moreover, the theme music of movie was attractive & it's touching according to the visualization. The soundtrack album and background score were composed by Ilaiyaraaja. Besides, emotional scenes were very nice.Songs of movie was good according to compositional aspects. Finally i rated this movie with 5 stars as average movie .

When R.Balki told to the media about this film, I was very excited. The only reason was it was supposedly a tribute to the voice of Mr. BACHCHAN , the 'BARITONE'. After watching this film I was satisfied mostly.The basic story is - Danish(DHANUSH) a born deaf and mute person wants to be hero and with the help of an assistant director Akshara(AKSHARA) and with the voice of Amitabh Verma(MR. BACHCHAN) he finally becomes a star. After this their ego clashes and both separates and realizes they both need each other. Again they unite but a tragedy spoils all.Although story is simple, the screenplay is really up to the mark. But the problem here is that some uneventful logic, long second half and climax drags. Also Akshara's character mostly seems uneasy.The film belongs truly to Mr. BACHCHAN and it is him for which the film works. DHANUSH too was superb. Other aspects were from medium to OK to good. Finally watch it guys for Mr. BACHCHAN.

The theme of the movie is based on audio and video.... It means how video and audio are part of each other and one is incomplete without the other. One is dumb but his acting is bold and other is old with a voice of a gold. The concept was awesome as i said but the film's story is kinda messed up. It starts.....continues but in middle it somewhat sways to and fro....kinda stretches the story. I was waiting for such movies with concepts coz such movies are not there in our cinemas anymore. It was due to this that i watched this movie(and for Amitabh bachchan too). As you see.......in Hollywood, they have great conceptual movies like one being made on Stephen Hawkins.... I see that such kind of movies have been started being made in Indian cinemas too which have good concept... All they need is a bit improvement. Still actors have done a great job as it is first time any movie has made me to review it.

Shamitabh is one of the worst Hindi films to have been released in recent times.Director Balki thinks that the baritone voice of Amitabh alone will pull the film through & that has been the biggest let down of this film.Amitabh has never been an actor known for his histrionics & needs a good script & good director for a good performance.Here he has neither & it shows.Amitabh gets to ham off scene after scene, not to mention the expletives he mouths.Akshara haasan looks dazed.A talented actor like dhanush is totally wasted. Wonder what he saw in the script to do this film.PC Sreeram & Ilayaraja try to salvage the film but to no avail.Shamitabh - best avoided.
