As a habit I avoid shorts due to typical non-scripts, poorly-developed characters and CGI-instead-of-plot. The title got me on this one as well as the 8-minute length so, lets give it a try, right? The result is a 10-star rating and one of the most fun short films I've ever watched. I won't spoil any scenes by giving "examples" of why it's fun; suffice to say this is one of the few films I've seen-- much less a short film-- that was pretty much perfect from beginning to end. The dessert-on-top post-story was added enjoyment. This is well worth watching, with excellent concept, script, directing, filming and acting. For Star Wars fans it might even remove dry eye syndrome-- a very rare feat for a short. In short, it's a must-see. Note: I have heard there are actually people alive who have never seen a Star Wars movie. Be aware that doing so is a prerequisite to enjoying this short.

Not only hilarious but also heart touching. I guess you have to love Star Wars to truly appreciate this one with all the references but even without all that knowledge it is definitely a funny film with excellent acting and music. It's a short film about inspiration with some great quotes. "Search not, inspiration will you not find. It will find you." Oh and it's a hundred times better than that overrated turd, Shakespeare in love, even if it's only 10 minutes long! Here's my faves: "My mom's coming over so could you get rid of the...pharmacy?" "It's not what you would call technically DONE, done yet.""And George, the beard...not working for you! Hehehehehe"

For all who wonder how George Lucas got his inspiration for the "Star Wars" movies, here is how it came about (maybe). George has writer's block and can't figure things out in time to graduate, but people come into his life to help out right when he needs it. This movie is hilarious with hidden references to the "Star Wars" movies and a few of Lucas' other works! Something that is fun to show a small group of people late at night, or just a die hard SW fan. And great for outright laughs and something to chew on before EPISODE III opens on May 19th!Search the web for this, it comes pretty cheap at $12-15 per copy, and is well worth the money spent!!!

Way back in 1967, a certain director had no idea about a galaxy, far away or near. He was trying to complete a movie with the title THX etc. this short is a remanufactured history of a certain George. i am sorry it has only cuteness to defend it. This is merely an advertising promo for the director, actors, et. al. It has little intrinsic artistic value. It is a brochure. The lead playing George, is very fine, as is the Leia character, and the ersatz Darth character. All else is plain commercial dross. What a waste. Still, it got the job done I guess. The rest of the movie is merely treading water to kill time I guess. a brochure only.
