NO SPOILERS This has got to be the most powerful Disney movie out there! It had me crying. I loved the novel and was kind of excited when they made it into a movie. The whole cast was strong and played very effective performances. I miss this Disney Channel. Now they are piling movies in like the dreadful High School Musical, or Jump In. All that is just feel good, predictable crap. This movie doesn't air enough anymore. It is literally one of the best movies ever, not just for TV, movies in general. Now my ratings: Story 10/10- The story is just powerful. A girl named Tru hates her life because she has an over working father, a mother who never takes her side, and a mentally challenged brother. So she enters a video contest that may change her life forever. The relationships are so moving and everyone can relate I think.Acting 10/10- Wonderful performances by all actors. Shia LaBeouf took on Eddie perfectly. He actually seems like he is mentally challenged. Clara Bryant was a perfect Tru and I thought some people could relate to her in at least one way. She is a girl of substance going through a rough patch in her life.Emotion 10/10- Every part had me crying. Literally. And I don't cry a lot during movies. Well this movie had so much power! And it is impossible to hate it! 10/10. Watch this. Leave HSM and JI to die in the cold. This movie was powerful.

Are you people serious..?! This movie is one of the greatest films ever. It was so realistic. It made me realize everything in this world i take for granted and how, i used to make fun of people like that. Maybe some of you don't get it. But if we're supposedly "brothers and sisters" why do we still make fun of each other. Mentally challenged people like these deserve the respect we show every other person in this world. Now a days, i can't even stand to see someone being picked on. Okay get this, - You may be rich and have the best education ever, but the one thing that these people have and you don't is love. They may not have the everyday intelligence we have, but if i were to narrow it down.. i'd choose the love they give and their dignity then money, or high education. Nothing can compare or equalize love. - Cynthia

It has been two years since I first saw this movie, but I still rave about it. Tru Confessions is the first time I took notice to Shia Lebouff. Sure he does fine in Even Stevens and the various things he did before it, but this movie really shows just how well he can convey a character.Tru Confessions is about a mentally retarded young boy and the trials and tribulations he and his family go through. Shia effectively made you believe, trust, and love the character without a single flaw. Playing such a character is very hard, but he manages to make you believe. The movie itself is amazing, but Shia Lebouff is extraordinary. I really hope the media and industry starts to take notice because I am sure we haven't seen his best work yet and has the power to become a legendary.Kudos to you, Shia.
