While I was watching, I thought I figured out the plot and had typical expectations. I was so wrong. I'm a big fan of movies about the gay experience, so I had to watch this unfold. I have to say that I enjoyed the ride and was not expecting what came along. Bravo. I was blown away.It was great to watch Stew evolve from a secretly jealous friend who seemed to want more of his longtime friend, to a 3-dimensional character. Not too surprising that the writer, Dan Via, saved that opportunity for himself! Finally, I thought that Pittsburgh deserved an acting credit. The scenery and cinematography was captivating. Enjoy this film!

I could not believe the earlier negative reviews I read here. I found this movie so well portrayed. I am not in the situation this movie presents. but, I am a father of a child who grew up without me ever knowing of his existence until he was 20 years old. I have been trying to locate him for about 5 years. Naturally this movie peaks my interests. I enjoyed all of the performances. My heartstrings were pulled. This was a simple presentation of a complicated simply done well.

I thought this film was great; a pleasant surprise! The acting and writing were great, the directing was excellent, and I was definitely shocked (in a good way) where the story goes. I was very pleased to see a film that positively portrays a older/younger gay relationship with real depth and heart. But then I was even more pleased with the how the complicated the relationship becomes, it made the story/relationship more real and grounded. I was a fan of Mr. McCullouch from the Bear City movies and his acting is pretty great in each of these films. But I really hope he will be doing more directing in the future. It was some pretty impressive work for his first feature length movie. Dan Via also displays some great acting work for only having a handful of acting credits to his name. Very impressive! I wish I caught the stage version. Looking forward to seeing more from Dan as well. Bravo and congrats to the cast and crew!

When I started watching this film, I thought it was going to be about a well to do man who could get anybody he wanted, well that is partially true but there are some major twist and turns in the movie that are not suspected and it will keep you glued to your seat it is for both the romantic at heart an for the ones that feel they have been jaded by love. The main character is heartwarming and angry at the same time you feel all the emotions that come through the movie. You have to pay attention or you will feel like you have lost something translation but the fact of the matter is it shows you that you can adapt to anything life has to throw at you if you have the will power and the stamina. For this being the directors debut film he knew what he wanted and he went for it even with the taboo of life. Gerald McCullouch both stars in the movie and directs it and you can not do anything but show admiration for the man and the quality of his work.
