Dookudu (2011)

nothing new in this film... hero action superb... comedians are main hero's for this film... photography is good...... 2 songs are good on the screen.... director didn't used heroine properly in the film... as of my view it is a comedians film.. over all movie disappointed.... this is fact that every body should accept.. 2nd half comedy part will be more which you can observe previous films of director... though the comedy is there but it is not up-to mark.....action scenes are very impressive though it copied from English films... in this film plot is missing... it is a regular film with different image.. expectation increased for hero next film..

Strengths: Mahesh Babu, Prakash Raj and MS Narayana Comedy. Weakness: Artificial development of Scenes, Songs and Predictable/routine screenplay of Sreenu.Mahesh did a spectacular job as always, but this is not his kind of movie for sure. It's more like Sreenu vytla's movie, however this time it appears to be more like an action oriented movie than a family entertainer. May be presence of Mahesh made the difference i guess. Still I feel the MAGIC is not there in the film to stand a winner. Dialogues are really good. The pace of the film and screenplay really don't give you a chance to think whether it is really possible what Hero did to save his Father. Film is different for Mahesh though not up to his standards.

Story: Shankar Narayana (Prakash Raj) an honest man with ideals who does a lot for the poor. His good deeds find enemies (Kota, Supreeth, Sayaji). Shankar's son Ajay (Mahesh Babu) grows up to be an honest and tough cop.While the whole world thinks Shankar Narayana is dead, he is actually recovering in a hospital. Meanwhile, unaware of all this flashback Ajay sets on a mission to hunt Nayak (Sonu Sood), a dreaded mafia don. In this process, he comes across Prashanti (Samantha) and falls in love with her. Meanwhile, Shankar Narayana recovers but he is not supposed to go through any sort of stress.For this, Ajay starts doing all sorts of things to keep him happy. The story takes a turn when Ajay discovers about the attack on his father and decides to take revenge. How does he do that? Whether he is successful or not forms the rest of the story.Performance: Dookudu movie is One Man action----Mahesh Babu.Like Khaleja,Mahesh has given an another extraordinary acting which was not given in his previous movies.Samantha was used only for songs and only in first half.Vennela Kishore was good,but did not used much.The plus point of this movie is M.S.Naranyana and Bhramanandam.All seen M.S.Narayanana acting,but in this movie , he has given best mind blowing performance as per comedy when compared to his previous movies...Choreography was good.Sreenu Vaitla didn't do much to take the movie.Ready,Dhee,King mixed all and grind-ed well and built-ed the concept as to suit Mahesh role.Nothing much new in the movie.Conclusion : If you are a prince fans,definitely it will rock.Comedy,timing,prince ,m.s.narayana & other co-stars acting brings plus point for family members..My rating : 8.5/10

As for the performances, Mahesh delivers one of his career bests. He can now safely claim, without inviting ridicule, that Dookudu is a slap on the face of those who declared that he is not good at comedy. He shows verve and energy in action scenes. He is convincing in the khaddar get-up. He is remarkable at spouting one-liners as the super-efficient cop. He is trigger-happy, but is immediately funny in taking digs at his stupid senior Nasser.All comedians and character artists do justice to their roles. On the flip side, however, Samantha is not seen much in the second half. But when she sizzles on the screen in Itu Raye number, you swoon.Tehnicially, it is proof what a Digital Intermediate finish can make a film look like. It is visually rich.Post Script: Babu land aithe opposition ku bande, Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam says to a frightened Sonu Sood. Prince proves he is Numero Uno. The fight for top slot is over. Cool.
