If I could rate it over 10, I would. The roles were very difficult to play. Drew Fuller did an amazing job, as he's more known for his roles in Charmed and the ultimate gift. This character is much, much darker than both of those. When I first saw the film I thought, impossible. This can't be based on a true story, not that it seems fake, it's just the theme, vampires and the gore of what happened to Heather's parents. I loved the role of Rod and found him ice cool, even for a villain he was my favourite. The swearing didn't bother me at all, although I was surprised to hear the F word slip so much from Drew, as I knew him as Chris in Charmed and had to rewind the film twice before I could get it into my brain. I would recommend this film to anyone. It's an amazing story line, and it's all round fabulous to watch. Well done to the casting! You've done well.

If you go into this knowing this isn't a vampire movie and based on a true crime you'll appreciate it. My ex-room mate got this one for a party she was throwing thinking it was a vampire movie, but I knew more about the case personally because when it happened I was working at College of DuPage. The killer in the story tries to portray his reality as a vampire but he's just a disturbed individual himself. He leaves the teenager girl an orphan because of it -- and this also leads into how the author of the book would also end up writing the book based on the case. One of those movies you'll enjoy if you know what really happened and what lead into the movie. It is a true story. The movie emerged when my own true crime outing, The Cabbie Homicide: October 13, 1993 was made live. When one examines the events of the crime then go into this movie, they're in for nightmare fuel when they realize this happened. Though the writers of the movie form took some liberties on how the murderer looked as he was making faces at the camera and had very long hair when they dragged him through the courtroom.

The story of the Vampire Clan is a great story. But the movie, did not do the story justice. Personally I like the movie to a point, but so much of it was incorrect.1.Rod had long black hair, not short. 2.Dana was overweight, not Charity. 3.Scott Anderson never psyched out during the murders, he somewhat enjoyed himself. 4.Dana was not the one who called for help at the hotel, Charity did. 5.Jeni did not come get Heather after the questioning. In fact Heather was put on trial like the rest, but was proved innocent. And even after her innocence was proved, her family still blamed her for the murders.

the actor who played rod was excellent. he showed the insane not caring manipulativeness that we see in people such as Charles Manson. It was amazing. Exspecially when they had been caught. I loved it. THe actors and actresses were amazing. I believe that it is one of the best vampire movies. I don't understand how you can say the actors aren't any good for Drew Fuller is amazing as rod, captures the exact aura about rod that makes him so incredibly sexy, the manipulativeness, and I don't care what you do to me. Also, the make up was pretty good as was the acting. This is a bit redundant so I apologize. Also it was a pretty good portrayal of the case.
