I adore this movie! I was surprised at how much it made me feel (and not in a sad way). It just pulled at my heart in the sweetest fashion. Like meeting an old friend for the first time.It has a laid back pace without being boring. It is sweet, sentimental, raw, intimate and most of all authentic. The actors were perfect, I felt like I was right there with them. From the two main characters chemistry, to the sharing of the good, the bad, the awkward and the completely random. It feels like I'm hanging out with my own quirky friends, going on a first date with someone I'm wholly enamored with, sharing real life with real people. Nothing about this script feels… scripted. It just feels real.I like Hollywood movies but this was definitely a nice refreshing change from your standard box office prescription for success, without trying too hard to be different. This is reflected wholeheartedly in the ending which to me was perfect. I won't spoil it for you, I'll just say that it's like life, one day at a time.P.S. I haven't seen a lot of indie films but this may have gotten me started. I found this movie after seeing Parker Croft as cute Lost Boy Felix in the series Once Upon A Time.

Not exactly sure how this made it into the top 10 of my Netflix queue, but my guess is that I read an article about it getting 9 awards from various film festivals. Two things I have concluded from this experience.One. When any movie's plot has the slightest possibility of belonging to the "mumblecore" genre make sure to read a few critical reviews PRIOR to watching it. If the term "mumblecore" is used in any of them stay the hell away! Two. I need to give up on movies easier. Being a huge film buff I tend to stick with a movie even when it's quite obvious in the first 15 minutes that it's absolute garbage. Somehow I keep hoping that it's going to get better. The first and last rule of "mumblecore" is that it never does. The premise of the movie is that a twenty-something super dorky looking male who was diagnosed with a potentially fatal disease meets a beautiful twenty-something woman, they fall in love and spend a day together. Sounds like it could be interesting, but what the premise doesn't include is that these two are incredibly boring people who have absolutely nothing of consequence to say to each other. They don't talk about movies, politics, college, traveling, music, families or anything else of any value. Their whole interaction consists of completely inane subjects and they seem to be too cool to even pronounce words in a comprehensible way. At one point I tried turning on the subtitles to make out what the hell they were saying, but Netflix did not have them available for this excuse of a movie (which all hearing impaired people should be thankful for). After watching it I found out that the main character was also one of the writers and producers. Now it made sense why the film was so unrealistic. It was his and every dorky man's fantasy. Just by showing up and existing he somehow got a very attractive girl to be so interested in him that she did all the work pursuing him. There isn't any point in the movie where he does ANYTHING to gain her interest (possibly with an exception of showing up at her art show). He mumbles about nothing and acts pathetic the entire time and we all know that this is the way to win the heart of a gorgeous young woman, don't we?Neither one of them displays much emotion until the end and overall the film, which was shooting for sympathy, made me want his fatal decease to be infectious because neither one of these two, (or the people they hung out with, for that matter) were gonna contribute anything to the world. The only reason I can think of why this film is rated highly on Netfix is because other hipsters (read excruciatingly boring, entirely useless people who at the same time think they're better than everyone) can identify with these characters. The pretentiousness of the film is what got me the most. The makers clearly think it's about something deep when it's about nothing at all. The whole script could've fit on a napkin ("let's have two twenty-somethings schlep around and mumble utter nonsense for a day").I could've made a more interesting film by following a homeless guy with a camcorder.

I've been waiting for this movie since I watched the trailer 3 months ago. The song used for the trailer 'Search and Destroy by Sanders Bohlke', also used in the films background kept me hold on this movie for so long and finally I got to watch it over an exhausted weekend. The film is very simple and moves silently and then takes pace when Chloe enters. The beautiful thing about the film is its optimistic flow, even though the theme is quite serious. 22 old Elliot Carson on the day before he has surgery to remove a brain tumor, he meets Chloe Webb, a young photographer. She invites him to her art show and since they meet at an art show, their night goes together with parties at friend's house, hiking, biking. Their relation is going strong every moment and even Elliot forgetting everything enjoys them with Chloe. When Elliot breaks the news to Chloe about his surgery, Chloe breaks down into grief. They both knows, in a short span of time they spent together, they have fallen for each other. And Elliot has an uncertain future.I'm always fond of small budget, intense subject and some outstanding performance genre films. This movie is 86 minutes long (or short excluding end titles :)), Budgeted $50,000 (estimated) and awesome performance by Writer, Actor Parker Croft. Debutant Emilia Zoryan looks promising as well. both are confident, talented actors and have a bright future. Supporting cast does their job well. worth mentioning Cinematography by writer/director Conrad Jackson and Sound Department. Every song used in the movie is nice and situational. The almost end scene when Elliot and Chloe goes to her room and you get to see Parker's powerful acting skills, the start of 'Search and Destroy' song almost makes goose bumps.Performance wise the lead pair scores best. Emilia is so stunning and graceful that in all her scenes, it's hard to keep your eyes off her. I think in the beginning, the pace of the film could have been more faster. Few of the characters and scenes looks rigid and mechanical. And even though 86 minutes, it could have explored more of Elliot and Chloe's relation. But still the film is quite nice and peaceful.'Falling Overnight' has won 9 awards so far and out of them Parker Croft has grabbed 7 Best Actor awards. I look forward for these young actors in upcoming projects. This film has to be experienced at least once. I love the Romance, Drama, Music and you get all of them in it in some satisfying ways.

There are very few moments in life when you understand you've met the person you are supposed to be with, at least at that point of time. Director Conrad Jackson's take on the movie makes you feel like you are a part of such a moment. Both the lead actors portrait such naivete and at the same time great depth that it makes the story believable. The chance meeting, to the night they spend together, have been woven together so methodically that you never feel out of sync. You feel the pain, the anguish, their love, hope for a future, dreams and just understanding how precious life is in even its most mundane moments.Watch the movie for a good story made excellent due to its direction and great acting.
