Tomorrow is Today (2008)

My stepfather had me watch this movie. At first, i was a little skeptic. I judge movies by how the cover makes me feel, and i just didn't connect. But, i decided to give it a try. I sat down and watched the movie, and i can honestly say it made me feel different then any other movie i have seen. It was so real, and not one bit of it was superficial. I didn't feel like this was some made up Hollywood story.It was beautiful in a way that is unexplainable. I remember being into every second of the film. The on screen chemistry was amazing. Mark Hefti and Scout Taylor-Compton were perfect for the roles they each played. They took their characters and brought them to life on screen, and I, being a 15 year old, could feel the pain, and love, and loss, that these two put forth as amazing and talented actors. I not only loved this movie, but i was a huge fan of the acting as well. I look forward to seeing Scout in Rob Zombies upcoming remake of 'Halloween'

Great acting. Scout plays a compassionate character. She and Mark Hefli have great chemistry. He's convincing as someone who is lost, both spiritually and physically. Ken Arnold is definitely an actor to watch for. He's very convincing as Scout's father and shares her empathy for Mark Hefli. The cinematography alone is worth watching. I love the shots at the beach. Good choice of shots. They really help show you what's going on beneath the surface. The story is compelling. It keeps you wanting to see more. The music definitely helps enhance the mood of the film. I would recommend it for anyone who appreciates a good movie that is character driven. There was hardly a dull moment. The suspense of how Scout and Mark Hefli will resolve Mark's fight with the past keeps you want to see more of the film. It's like an Altman film where everything is connected, and you realize it by the end of the film how.

This is a Really nicely Written Script That Has been Filmed well. I Have been Disappointed A Lot Recently at The Quality of the Big Hollywood Films. They either have no Plot or Storyline Because all the money went into Special effects or No Acting / Directing Because all the money went wherever. Now they still Big Name Actors & Directors -- They just didn't do their job that Month (Or Tried to Phone it in from Home).This Film started with a fairly well written Script and Took it's Time and Developed a Storyline, Believable Characters played by a good Acting team that Listened to a Director That must have had an Actual Vision for The film. Yes I am an Actor Wanna-be. I've worked on many vision less projects, Adrift and moving where ever the Wind takes them -- so I can tell a Projects where EVERYTHING Gels. This is one of them.

I saw this film at the Annapolis Film Festival in 2006. It was very well acted, directed, and shot. It's amazing to me that films like this don't seem to find their way to audiences, while there are 800 sequels coming out each year...and countless retreads of 70's and 80's TV shows. It's amazing what Frederic Lumiere has done on an independent budget. I'd like to see what he could do with Fox or Warner or Dreamworks backing him! And the cast was excellent. I have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot of Scout Taylor-Compton in the coming years. I also enjoyed the performance of Ken Arnold, who played her father. Very subtle and understated. Great work. Great film. Thank you.
