U me aur hum is a classic in my eyes. The film did average business commercially. But I think 90% of whoever has seen the film loved the film out and out. U me aur hum, sure it has something that the Notebook also has. The film is about alzheimer's in love. That CERTAINLY Doesn't MEAN THAT "U ME AUR HUM" IS A REMAKE OF THE NOTEBOOK!!Everything is optimal in this movie, be it direction-wise, performance-wise, art-wise, song-wise, casting-wise! I always thought Ajay Devgan is very very underrated. Hopefully this movie will change his careerline! Gosh what a storyteller, the way he pours emotions in his characters, the way he uses the camera, the way he has chosen the locations. Everything exceeds! U me aur hum is Ajay's finest work as an actor, and of course a VERY powerful debut as a director. Kajol is perfect! She shares 1000% awesome chemistry with Ajay. Both her and Ajays performances sometimes make your eyes water.Songs are excellent! Be it Dil Dhakda, Jee le, Phatte, Saaiyaan or the U me aur hum tracks. Beautiful. This film is truly a masterpiece! Way to go ajay!

hmmm... what can I say about this...it rocks... a simple well made film...they didn't push the story... filled the holes... sense of depth in very simple dialogs... good acting... i am 102 % sure that this wont be as big hit as welcome n partner are... because its not crap like those movies... has no item songs... has decent subject... so bound to get flopped...because if i am not mistaking people now a days like to watch crap n next to bull shits... so U ME AUR HUM u stand no where at box office... but hey look at the bright side.... there r few handful of sensible people left who like decent well made subject oriented movies (which obviously include me ) ... so i will give u 9/10 for an outstanding emotional touching movie...

All I had seen of this movie was a lot of promos and nothing much else. But I was rather surprised with the content of this movie and was very pleased to see one of my favourite actresses, Kajol, back on the screen.Ajay goes on a cruise with a couple of friends where he meets Pia, a waitress and for him its love at first sight but for Pia, she follows her heart and watches Ajay, who is a Physchiatrist, make a fool of himself by getting drunk. The next day, she has the pleasure of handing him a massive bill to pay for. However, everything goes well and the two get married until one day, Pia tells Ajay that she can't remember much.Starring Ajay Devgan, Kajol, Divya Dutta, Vishesh Didwani and Robin Bhatt, this is a good debut for the "Top Gun," Ajay Devgan for his directorial debut. He has done a good job of it and more so as he has highlighted a disease - Alzheimers, which is affecting countless people in this world. Not even the late President Ronald Regan, of the United States, where, as well as in the other countries, a lot of money has been spent on research, could be saved from this. Kajol's acting, and not just because she is one of my favourite actresses, is good, but because she has managed to carry her part extremely well. The romantic part, is not for Ajay Devgan. Its may be because I am use to watching him in action roles. But I felt it was not for him and may be it should have been handed over to the likes of Shah Rukh. And what was most annoying was the amount of times the character kept on saying: "You know..." I am sorry but if this was in an examination, the writer would have failed for repeating countless times - I lost count completely. In fact the last count I remember was 12.Also, the first half could have been shortened a bit and some scenes could have been edited as they were making the first half a bit dragging. There were moments, where I felt like going to sleep or doing something else.U, Me Aur Hum is definitely a movie that is one of the best that have been released so far this year. The credit for a good directional debut is definitely for Ajay Devgan and this is a movie that is good to watch.

Sidhaarth and Falabrdor, the notebook is the story off Alie and Noah being narrated by an old man, whereas in u me Aur hum the story is being narrated by Ajay himself, in the notebook after the carnival and parents disagreeing (because of Noah class and poor background) they don't meet again and Alie falls in 'love' again with a soldier and gets engaged to him, nothing like that happens in u me Aur hum, Ajay be's so sure that Piya going to come back that he gets the house ready for her whereas in the notebook Noah gets the house ready as the war goes on and by fixing the house he wants to please Alie's parents -theres no parents or war involved in u me Aur hum for Ajay or Piya.the notebook itself was based ('plagarised') from a book, it wasn't the initial idea of the director and when that was revealed he had to bring the author of the book in to work with him on the film.overall notebook is about Alie and Noah being each others first love and if they will ever get each other or not and about Alie's dilemma about choosing the soldier or Noah. whereas u me Aur hum is about love, Faith, loyalty and support in marriage and in good and hard times.50 first dates is where drew Barrymore suffers from short term memory Loss and is caused by an accident, there's no accidents in u me Aur Hum, drew Barrymore wakes up every morning thinking it's the day before She had the accident whereas Kajol in u me Aur hum doesn't b stuck in a Specific date, she just forgets certain things, if u think Alzheimer And short term memory loss are the same then u really needs to do some Research. Adam Sander in 50 first dates has to remind who he is to drew Barrymore and everything they done together, whereas that doesn't work For Alzheimer sufferers so Ajay can't do that. The only similarity between 50 first dates and u me Aur hum is that the Main lead actress suffers from an illness and the similarity between Notebook and u me Aur hum is that it is being narrated by someone. I'm Not saying Bollywood doesn't plagiarise/copy/borrow ideas and concepts But this was an original movie and storyline. There is a an Indian Version of 50 first dates though i think it's called Chandni Ki Kahani, not Sure about notebook though.Anyway people, i thought this movie was excellent, Kajols Acting is great and so is Ajay director and acting. It was something Fresh and different, must have been a hard subject to tackle and to put In as a story as Ajay Devgan has done. So credit to him. A must watch For everyone.
