People seem to be very generous towards the rating of this movie due to it being a made for TV movie, but I mean it can't be compared with theatrical releases like "Ray" or "Walk The Line" or even "Notorious" for that matterIt's just a obvious TV production and I expected a little more from it to be honestI expected Left-Eyes burning down the house and death to have a bigger impact in the movie but it's all fairly rushed and portrayed without much depthSomething that's also lacking depth are the characters, especially the characters around the main characters, now I really like Evan Ross I think he's one of the better young black actors out there BUT I just don't see him playing Dallas Austin, it just doesn't work IMO... All the boyfriends in their lives feel just like empty shells tbh, they namedrop Mack 10 who was T-Boz's man for a good while and they have a guy play him but I don't recall him even having any lines just standing in the background, and the guys who do have lines as I said don't feel very realThe TLC characters are a little better but they to come across as caricatures more then full-fleshed human beings occasionallyI don't think people who aren't TLC fans will get much out of this movie

While true fans won't be able to help themselves from wanting even more (an extended miniseries with more actual performance footage as TLC and the opportunities when they performed solo i.e T-Boz Touch Myself, Left Eye Ladies Night etc. or collaborations with other artist, the effort and end result of the VH1 TLC bio film must be applauded for its authentic feel. Viewers will double take and squint to determine if actual footage is being intertwined with new cast scenes. Ariana Neal rapping for her Dad as little Lisa with the big twists in her hair resembles and performs so well. It is clear all the talent studied footage and made good use of the time they got to spend with T-Boz & Chilli and gave it their all.Hopefully the film will be made available commercial free for permanent download purchase and in stores with extended commentary and footage (concert, TV and movies i.e House Party; performances "b&w" checkered outfit medley of songs, too much booty in the pants & the last performance with Lisa in the ripped jean dresses+ videos...it would make a crazy sexy cool Christmas gift (Sleigh Ride).

Well, when I turned this film on I expected a VH1 movie. This movie was both directed and cast good enough to be on the BIG SCREEN. That is comparing this film to some of the TURDS I have seen this year. The actor was awesome, the casting was awesome. The casting was so good you forget what the real artists look like by the end of the first few minutes. To avoid ruining anything I will not give my opinion on the trails that the group faced but WATCH this film. If you avoid this movie because you feel on way or another about the music please don't. I was never a TLC fan and can not truly call myself one after seeing the film but I can say I now appreciate their art.

I enjoyed the film. It's honestly sad to see how the music industry can mess with people that have dreams of becoming a superstar. It shows how it can be a tough ride in a crazy music world. Decent!!I think they did a good job of casting the girls. It showed everything from Love to torn friendships to Family. I really enjoyed how the showed the relationships the ladies went through. I like how honest chilli was with her story in this movie. I was surprised at how little LA Reid played in this movie. Carl Payne didn't really have too many lines in this film, I would have expected more since he was part of the bigger picture. I would have thought they would have also included Babyface. Overall it's a solid movie that anyone watching will enjoy.
