Obviously suspect reviews on here, giving an artificially high rating suckered me into wasting my time watching this. It feels like watching a college media project, the acting is questionable, and the dialogue is simply appalling both in content and delivery, and at points it is very difficult to actually hear it. If the focal point is the "Sinkhole" ( and it gets very annoying hearing about this and the smell) it is odd that it is not seen, in fact the "action" rarely leaves the cottage at all. The whole premise of the film is only discovered in the final 10 minutes, and the 'plot twist' is simply the unexpected lack of moral compass in a character that most of the film takes undue effort into making them the "goodie". The evil presence/character is straight out of a cheap fancy dress shop and offers very little menace.Undoubtedly one of the poorest films I have bothered to watch, don't waste your time.
Seriously, I've seen fourteen year olds make better acted and more technically proficient youtube videos. Don't waste your time it's baaaad...(not even in a good way)
Don't waste your time, absolutely diabolical, unbelievably shocking acting, Sky Tv had it down as 5/5, they need poking in the bloody eye
Beyond The Wood's is a really awesome movie . The character's are really cool in there own way and have all there own personality's . The story is very well written and it will lead you up in suspense to an awesome grand finale . I'm watching horror movies since I was a kid and can officially say this is on my favorite horror movie list . The setting is beautifully shot also showing the contrast of the calmness of the wood's with the darker side of it . The director does a great job of using the scenery to full advantage . There isn't a dull moment in the movie . I love psychological thriller's so this lived up to my taste . This isn't only for fan's of horror though for anyone who like's a great movie you will enjoy this and if your a fan of horror or thriller you will love it also . I saw it twice already and am looking forward to watch it again . Watch out for the thrill's suspense and awesome acting . Beyond The Wood's is a movie i'd highly recommend and everyone I know who saw it loved it also . :D
