At first sight, you think that the film is going to be about blood- thirsty sharks hunting and killing lots of people as is the case with this genre. But this one is different: Sharks are only one sub-plot. Central to the theme of the film is an over-protected young teenager and her struggle to be an adult. Her father tracks every movement of her and boys are really into having sex with her in her spring break. Oh yes there are occasionally sharks as well, let's not forget!!! The film is 85 minutes long and I noticed that sharks only began to appear (except the opening scene of the film) at the 70th minute. I have every reason to believe that everyone watching this film was more concerned with what would happen to the guy who was almost dying to get it on with the girl, rather than how sharks would relate to the ending.I have seen many bad films that have sharks in it, but this is by far the most disappointing one.

As campy as the title tells you it'll be.A bunch of co-eds with a hodge-podge of teen soap opera back stories go to south Florida for Spring break. Unfortunately, some hungry tiger sharks are on Spring break too, and they aren't there for the beer, if you catch my drift. Meanwhile there's a dumb wolf player guy knocking out the lead character with a date rape drug, and drawling out stupidly concocted lies. Gee, you'll never guess who ends up as a Big Mac in the shark infested waters. They waste a lot of time showing us the wolf guy annoying everybody, and eventually get around to showing some sharks. Occasionally, some extras show up to be immediately on the menu, to keep your interest. The sub-plots give at least some substance to the lead girl and the boat rental guy, and some others to a lesser degree.More action than really expected. The shots of the girls are framed Bay Watch style, and there are some unintentionally dumb scenes. The big attack scene is a decently shot highlight moment, except for some cardboard "fins" casually drifting by the screaming swimmers. Still, not a bad watch, after all.

This movie was absolutely fantastic. The sharks were so real it was horrifying! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Shane, the actor from the Disney Channel gem Motocrossed was looking phenomenal, as usual. The only problem with the entire movie was the lack of information about why she hates her dad. Did he have an affair? I think so. JT was a douchebag, and I was rooting for him to be eaten alive throughout the whole movie. I highly suggest this movie to anyone looking for a aquatic thriller, which should be considered a genre of its own. I gave this movie ten out of ten because there was truly absolutely nothing that could have been better about it. This movie was undoubtedly better than all the Jaws movies combined!

At first I felt cheated because the cable guide presented as a Horror movie. But when I realized it was t.v. made movie I watched it objectively. First of all, don't expect any cool shark attack scene. All of them are off screen. The only scene where a shark appears is when it attacks a girl in the dock. A laughable scene by the way. The plot had a lot of potential, really. The whole investigation thing seemed really interesting to me. Also, I think it was clever to develop a believable situation that led to the sharks to attack. Sadly, the movie becomes a teen drama. Shannon Lucio (very hot by the way) is the main character and the movie's situations seem to be all around her. She has problems with her father, she can't decide which guy she will date, etc. You know, the typical "O.C." situations. Don't take it wrong, I don't have nothing against "The O.C." or shows like that, but I expected an entertaining B-Movie dealing with sharks. Anyways, the acting is actually pretty good. Shannon Lucio demonstrates she is a good actress and that she has a brilliant future. Thank you Shannon but the outfits you wore in the movie. The rest of the cast did pretty good. The direction is good for these kind of movies; it's bright, colorful, and avid. Good use of cinematography and settings. The editing is pretty cheap I must say but oh well, it's not something significant. Watch this movie with minimal expectations because believe me, it's not what you're looking for if you like B-movies or even teen dramas. Still, the acting and situations saved it from being immediately classified as crap.
