Actually when it is being considered about the Movie it is actually quite good & beyond my expectation. Anthony D'souza has done a horrible job in Blue (2009) but in Boss (2013) we see some good evolvements. I expected something cheesy acting like Khiladi 786 through this movie also. Actually Boss is better than Khiladi 786. I am a Martial Artist & Learnt many Martial Arts In fact I would like to depict the fact that Akshay is the reason that I learnt Martial Arts. He is such a passionate Actor. When it is considered about the Bollywood Film Industry of 90s there are only 2 Action Actors, who has got Actions worth watching those are Sunil Shetty & Akshay Kumar. While considering about the Sunil Shetty's State I can clearly emphasize the fact that Akshay is in a good state overally. When it is considered about this movie Akki's action is in good state but fighting has got some cable sequences which makes really boring to watch the actions. Actually Akshay has performed some decent sidekicks, Flying Kick & some decent Turn Crescent Kicks within the movie. Akshay is back in to action he looks seriously nice in this movie, but although he tries to gain his position as the action king in India he is not the king of action in India anymore now because Bollywood has got Vidyuth Jamwal who is a way much great martial artist than Akki. Now as well Ran Charan has also entered to Hindi cinema with Zanjeer. At least it would be better if Akshay can perform the action sequence without cable like he used to do in the past. So in the future we would be able to see some great competition for the Action Movies between these actors in Bollywood Especially I really appreciate the acting of Mithun he has done a marvelous job within this movie. Shiv Pandit acting is not bad. Ronit Roy's acting is awesome he is really doing a great job as the villain but it can be described that there is a certain lack of main Heroine in this movie. When it is considered about the story there is a simple story (Like a movie in the 90s). But it is better if they could add some more interesting moments for the movie (because after all it is 2013 not 90s anymore). Music is not bad, got awesome energetic theme music & got good dialogues (not the best but OK) Overally it is watchable. If you are a fan of Akshay you will like it. I would like to give 7 out of 10. If you are wondering whether to watch this one or not, go ahead make your move Watch it.

India has many Gods and dieties. There is the well known "Ganesh", who looks like an elephant, "Hanuman", and "Lord Krishna", the God sung to when singing the "Hare Krishna". Now there is another Lord, "Lord Akshay" Lord Akshay can do many, many things. He can jump up buildings like spider-man, fight numerous amounts of big men, dances all night with people all around the world; apparently the world dances to his tune and follows his footsteps. One honest revelation, when Shiv (Pandit) admitted to BOSS that 'he couldn't act', well, that was SO TRUE. The guy is like dead-wood on the screen. Any "romance" between him and that girl is fantasy in the directors head. Akshay replied him "That's the trouble with you youngsters".Well, Rishiraj Pawar, who played Young Boss, aka young Surya... that guy CAN ACT and THEN SOME. The minute he comes on screen you understand every feeling and emotion of the character, he almost makes you feel like crying in sympathy with his plight...And that there lies the problem with modern Bollywood, style over substance. They'd rather get some shirtless 'hot young hunk', or some rubbish, as opposed to someone who isn't necessarily that good looking but knows how to act and carry emotion. The main problem with this movie is that Akshay Kumar lacks the ability to convey the emotions of his character; instead he's more interested in showing off and being an exhibitionist. It does help you have Mithun Chakraborty in a supporting role as a lion-hearted father who wont shift on morals.Rishiraj Pawar sets the story and character up for Akshay, and all Akshay has to do is bring it home. Instead Akshay acts like Poochie the dog from that aborted Itchy and Scratchie episode, for those of you who watch 'The Simpsons'.Actually, that's not such a bad thing; he does entertain a bit. But you ultimately watch these things for a good story brought home with good acting, and a bit of entertaining, not just inane boasting, though that does go down well with the commercial side of Bollywood cinema. The movie is a decent screen grab but not a real winner.

The sad news is that every Bollywood cinema like Besharam, Phata Poster Nikla Hero, Policegiri are following the trend of 80's potboilers which comprised of action, melodrama , routine song and dance. The good news is Boos , though falls into same genre, is a passable entertainer with raw-punching dialogues, commendable action scene and of course Akshaye Kumar.Boss ( Akshaye Kumar) is a fearless and heart-of-gold goonda who gets the contract to bump off a college going innocent chap Shiv( Shiv Pandit) in love with a gruesome police-office's sister. Coincidently, Shiv turns out to be younger brother of Boss who was estranged from him when his father ( Mithun Chakrborty) disowned him as a child. From terrible attempt BLUE , Anthony D'Souza comes back with a popcorn masala entertainment which had nothing new to offer in terms of direction and screenplay yet can be enjoyable in parts. These kind of cinemas generally does not have moral story and sense but they do have section of audience who loves to whistle to introduction scene of their hero, clap to the item songs and shout as their hero punches the villain. Similarly, Boss has everything going in its favor. The humongous entry by Akshay Kumar arriving with ten trucks, the brilliant fight sequence captured in slow motion ( though sometimes larger-than- life),the father-son melodrama summarizes Boss, few comic relief by Akshay Kumar and good songs with "Party All Night" being pick of the lot. Boss completely belongs to Akshay Kumar and the actor does not leave any stone unturned. He gives his best and proves his mettle with good performance. Ronit Roy is superb as rude and heartless cop. Danny and Mithun are just fine.Overall, Boss is a complete masala package with Akshay Kumar ruling the roost. Good 3/5

Anthony D'Souza's 'Boss' is Time-Pass! An entertaining joyride, that is filled with super action, a dose of comedy & some wonderfully heartfelt moments.'Boss' Synopsis: A hero of his town comes to a city to rescue his brother from an evil cop.'Boss' has a good first-hour, but an awesome second. Keeping in mind this is a commercial film, the film succeeds big time by keeping the viewing engrossed. The Screenplay is well-done. The emotional father-son track is heartfelt, the comedy is spot-on & the action-sequences are mind-blowing. 'Boss' is a colorful entertainer that offers what it promises, which is entertainment. Anthony D'Souza's Direction is decent. Cinematography & Editing are fair. Music by various artists is super.Performance-Wise: Mithun Chakraborty is outstanding, as always. Akshay Kumar plays Boss, marvelously. He's energetic & lovable throughout. Shiv Pandit is credible. Ronit Roy is excellent as the dirty cop. Danny is wonderful. Aditi Rao Hydari looks gorgeous & delivers ably. Johnny Lever & Sanjay Mishra provide genuine laughs. Parikshit Sahni is adequate. Govind Namdeo & Aakash Dabhade are okay.On the whole, 'Boss' is a Winner.
