Christmas Homecoming (2017)

I think this was one of the better movies that Michael Shanks has done since he played in Desperate Escape with Elisabeth Rohm. Michael did a good job playing Jim, a marine who was struggling to move on from his wife's passing. Julie Benz I thought did a good job and the person who played her boyfriend was a self absorbed knot head who didnt want to move on in the relation until Michael Shanks showed interest. I disagree with the other reviews, I think the actors did a good job, age shouldnt matter in playing a role, in some movies there needs to be an older actor who can play it well, I dont think someone who is just starting out could have done a better job. I think it could have ended better but I think it was well done.

I can't see why anybody would like this If you do you are Pro War and Pro Gun. The cost of a war is never mentioned in terms of what is gained from the killing of many civilians that get caught in the crossed hairs. The don't even have to be in a war zone to be affected for the act of a stupid meaningless war. This film acts like a commercial for (Name your branch here). If this tyoe of film entertains you then I have to beg to ash you "Why". This was miscast and poorly executed. The war is seen as "Good" when in fact it has done nothing but harm to not only to the people in the war zone but for the United States as well. I have never seen a film that made me this mad.

People will have one or the other reaction to this. There is no middle ground. I can see why people call this a "Recruitment Movie" because they make the Military people in this film seem very Noble. In reality most people in the Military enlist to escape poor surroundings. Not truely understanding that the war they are about to fight will never end. This film centers on two grown adults struggling to move forward after each have survived a major loss. Gee what do you think is going to happen?The actors are WAY TOO OLD to play these parts. Then again that doesn't stop Hallmark from casting Candace Cameron in everything. This film had a good idea but it was poorly executed in every way possible/

Having lost someone to the "Bush Lie" I found this film to be deeply insensitive to people like me who have lost someone to the war. This film makes it look like Veterans families don't mind that their spouses go off to war. It makes everyone look like we don't question the reasons "why"? The story line of the Veterans Museum is also one big joke! Also the fact that the main character doesn't have a problem going back to a war zone (After Alll He Will Be Killing People) because he wants to be with his troop friends. I know this is a Hallmark Movie and they will not do anything that will "Rock the Boat" but glamorizing war is just "State Run Television". If that confuses you "Look it up". In general this film made me sick!
