Spicks and Specks Season 4

This week all your favourites moments of Spicks & Specks are all rolled into one show, as we give you the best of 2008. All your favourite moments have been carefully chosen and put together by our expert team. Hours turned into days which turned into weeks trying to choose the best moments. But we think we've finally done it. Check it out for yourself and be sure to watch the show.

Our special guests this week are Oscar winning Geoffrey Rush, funny girl Felicity Ward, the all singing and all dancing Christine Anu and the popular Hamish Blake. This week’s episode closes the show with The Wiggles, as they play their version of the U2 song “Angel of Harlem”.

Our special guests this week are indigenous didgeridoo virtuoso William Barton, comedian and author Denise Scott, International hit maker Leo Sayer and musical comedian Eddie Perfect. Be sure to watch for a sneak of Eddie Perfect performing a song from the hit stage show, Shane Warne: The Musical.

Our special guests this week are music industry insider turned Idol judge Ian “Dicko” Dickson, International comedian Des Bishop, singer/songwriter Mia Dyson and Aussie comedian Heath Franklin. Be sure to watch to see Des Bishop perform a classic hip hop song with a twist.

Our special guests this week are conductor extraordinaire Richard Gill, comedian and radio star Dave O’Neil, American guitarist and singer Kaki King and comedian Adam Rozenbachs. Be sure to watch Kaki King pay tribute to deaf leopard!

Our special guests this week are Australia singer songwriter John Butler, American comedian Kristen Schaal, of Australia’s best loved performers Rhonda Burchmore and comedian Mark Watson. Be sure to watch tonight’s episode for a live instrumental performance from John Butler, as he shows us just what he can do with a thirteen string guitar, on a number called “Ocean”.

Our special guests this week are Canadian singer songwriter Ron Sexsmith, comedian Dave O’Neil, acclaimed Australian soprano Antoinette Halloran and reigning ghosting champion Hamish Blake. Be sure to watch the end of the show for a stellar performance by Ukulele virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro.

Our special guests this week are musician extraordinaire Paul Dyer, from the US smooth talking comedian Reginald D Hunter, Aussie songstress Kate Ceberano, Irish comedian Maeve Higgins. The ‘Look What They’ve Done to My Song, Ma…’ segment sees the songs being played in the style of a New Orleans Marching Band by The Hoodoo Mayhem Brass Band. This episode closes with a live performance by Hoodoo Mayhem as they take out the show with a New Orleans style rendition of a familiar theme song.

Our special guests this week are indie rock musician Kim Salmon, comedian Dave O’Neil, music show host with the most Fuzzy and party boy Hamish Blake. Our special guest DJ for our pedal power game, ‘Malvern Stars on 45’ is the talented DJ M.A.F.I.A. The episode closes with a video clip from with a song called “Sex Appeal”. This week is a special one-off as the show brings cross-Tasman rivalry to the world of music. New Zealand is pitted against Australia in a battle to see who will walk away with the glory of winning Spicks and Speck. Our special guests this week are singer/songwriter Pete Murray, comedian Meshel Laurie representing the Aussie and singer Jenny Morris and comedian Tony Martin battling it out for the Kiwis. Our special guests this week are Kiwi born musician Mike Rudd, funny guy with hair to match Hamish Blake, Opera sensation Taryn Fiebig and US comedian Tommy Dean. This week’s closing performance is a video clip of a heavy metal guitar virtuoso by the name of Michael Angelo Batio. It will make you want to get out your air guitar and play like you’ve never played before.

Our special guests this week are Blue King Brown band member Natalie Pa’apa’a, comedian and radio announcer Dave O’Neil, Irish singer/songwriter Damien Leith and Kiwi funny girl Cal Wilson. Our special guests this week are Australia's outstanding stage actress Marina Prior, comedian Dave Hughes, English broadcaster and music critic John Amis and last but certainly not least, the fabulous Denise Scott. This week’s closing performance is by Marina Prior as she sings a funk version of “Phantom of the Opera” accompanied by Stevie Hesketh and his amazing Optigan.

Our special guests this week are former ABC Recovery host Dylan Lewis, straight talking comedian Judy Lucy, singer and songwriter Lisa Miller and Mental As Anything band member Greedy Smith. This week’s closing performance features a video clip from Cameo called “Word Up” from 1987. It combines dancing policemen, great moustaches, and a red leather codpiece. Timewalk Our special guests this week are one of Australia’s finest conductors Richard Gill, funny girl Meshel Laurie, Rocky Horror writer/ actor Richard O’Brien and stand-up comedian David O’Doherty. This week's closing performance see's the panel pay a special tribute to The Rocky Horror Picture Show. This is one show not to be missed.

Our special guests this week are Broadway luminary Caroline O’Connor, funny man Frank Woodley, documentary & music video director Julien Temple and comedian/ radio announcer Dave O’Neil.
