The Bye Bye Man (2017)
When three college students move into an old house off campus, they unwittingly unleash a supernatural entity known as The Bye Bye Man, who comes to prey upon them once they discover his name. The friends must try to save each other, all the while keeping The Bye Bye Man's existence a secret to save others from the same deadly fate.

The Bye-Bye Man was a decent movie. I almost didn't watch it because of the bad reviews, but I'd figure I'd give it a try, and I'm glad I did! It was creepy and kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the movie. I would recommend seeing this if you love creepy, exciting movies!
If you're a true horror fan then you can appreciate the attempt at being somewhat original with this film. No they don't explain much backstory on the bye bye man character, but for this movie it's obviously not what the creators wanted to focus on. Perhaps they wanted to save that for a prequel!! Yes it has some poor CHI every now and again but I've definitely seen worse. As for the pace it's pretty good and the acting isn't the worst. It's a psychological thriller that doesn't make you feel like you'll miss the entire premise if you look away for a second. I don't know why this has such a poor rating because if you have the understanding that with all horror movies there is always going to be cliches then you will appreciate the film for what it is. A thriller. I personally was thrilled and even laugh a couple times which breaks up the monotony of tension. Good job to the director and writers.
I cannot imagine that any of these actors are ever offered work again after they did this film. This is one of those films where it says "movie budget = $500K" and they don't come close to breaking even. Rotten Tomatoes is going to have to allow for negative numbers so people can rank this honestly.
I think this movie was well done it's not your typical horror but it did have its scary parts and kept me interested
