"Love, Rosie" is one of those annoying movies in which everything would be just fine if the two central characters had a simple conversation that cleared up all their misunderstandings. Love, Rosie's early charm fades by the end, given that, as time (and the movie) wears on, neither Rosie nor Alex get any more mature when it comes to matters of the heart.Constant fuchsia lighting can't make this setup warm.I hope that helps.

My wife and I found this movie on Amazon Prime streaming. It is set in the UK and in Boston, actually filmed in Ireland and Canada primarily.Lily Collins is grown up Rosie Dunne, and Sam Claflin is grown up Alex Stewart. They have been friends since they were very young, visiting each other, doing things together, talking to each other about other boys and girls they might be attracted to. But always "just friends."Rosie has aspirations to become a hotel manager and eventually own her own hotel, Alex wants to be a doctor. He gets into Harvard for Medical studies and asks Rosie to join him, Boston College has a good Hotel Management curriculum. Alex goes but Rosie stays behind. So the stories progress for a number of years, in fact 12 after they finish high school in the UK.The actors do fine jobs with their characters, and I am especially impressed with Lily Collins, she has to play the character with a number of different nuances. We enjoyed the movie.SPOILERS: Rosie is a bit of a tramp when young and at 18 has sex with a guy she hardly knew. The condom slips off, later she finds out she is pregnant, doesn't tell Alex and fails to join him in Boston. He eventually does find out but Rosie and Alex end up with different spouses, hers cheats on her and she splits. Alex's girlfriend turns out incompatible with him, at the very end Rosie and Alex get together right when she has opened, using the inheritance from her dad who died on a trip to France, her own small hotel, on a seaside cliff in Ireland. Through all this she did a fine job raising her daughter who was now 12 when the movie ends, and she too has a boy who has become her best friend.

I watch a lot of romantic movies but inspite all of them i liked movie a lot i mean this movie truly depicts the plots about two people who are in love and they know until they get to get along with their life whats good and impressing about this movie is that they showed that true love never dies, after 10 years he was able to get her which happens rarely in true life separated by sea but bound by heart. i feels good to watching a part of life so romantic and so colorful.Over all good characters , good plot , good story , script was good. The music sounds good (gotta buy the soundtrack!) too. And I love Lily and Sam Claflin as Rosie and Alex
