Here is a movie that irresponsibly glamorises all the tragic ills that are currently costing societies around the globe billions of dollars in mental and physical health support for: deadly substance abuse, sexual diseases, inane violence etc. This movie works only as a denouement of every aspect of mainstream movie making - the writers, producers, directors, actors and distributors - everyone has something to be totally ashamed of. The reviews posted from those genuine audiences who handed over their money to see this - clearly state they came away wishing they had known better (that they had been cheated) - that's a terrible result for the entire industry and in the long run will eventually work against it. You cannot continually disappoint audiences and expect that they will support or respect you. This trash fest should never have progressed beyond the bad idea's dept. Made, distributed and presented by immoral movie handlers of below average intelligence - for a likewise audience. Australian Foxtel please note: This is R material, not MA with a simple I rating. Time to get it right and supply your subscribers with an intelligent and HONEST assessment of the material you're presenting. If you want our respect, you won't win it with wildly inaccurate ratings for shoddy, irresponsible material like this and others that you're filling the airwaves with of late. There was once a time (fortunately some still do) when companies had the courage to make an internal decision to forgo profiting from pollution but sadly, Foxtel seems not to be amongst them.

I saw this in my theaters with my dad. Somehow he couldn't tell the difference between the ads/previews and the beginning of the movie. I don't know why, but I thought I'd mention it. Plot - The plot is simplistic, but it works. The movie is fairly reliant on random humor which is for the most part pretty funny. There are funnier movies, but for the most part, I was laughing at all the jokes. Sights and Sounds - This movie saved a lot of money by just bringing a camera into an actual American high school. Characters - The characters aren't that developed, but they don't need to be. The characters are simplistic. The actors are pretty good. Comedy - This movie is mainly absurdist nonsense, but the location really grounds it in reality. There are few jokes that don't work. The Fight - I wouldn't really call this a spoiler. All you have to do to know that there is a fistfight at the end is look at the title. The fight itself is fairly good. Its an entertaining and satisfying conclusion to this movie. Overall I'd recommend this movie. I wouldn't call it the greatest movie ever or anything, but its fun and entertaining.

Ice Cube and Charlie Day star in this 2017 comedy. Day plays mild-mannered, High School teacher, Campbell who endures a day from hell after he's challenged to a fight by other teacher, Strickland (Cube) whom he gets fired because of his violent temper. Campbell goes to great lengths trying to get him to change him mind, but toughens up in the process. Tracy Morgan, Christina Hendricks and Jillian Bell are also featured. This is a pretty good flick that makes an obvious reference to "Three O'Clock High," it's humorous and Cube & Day are great in it. Give this one a try at least once.

Fist Fight is a mediocre movie with a reasonably well developed plot and a good comedic cast. It is simple fun while it lasts, what really made the film worthwhile for me, overall, was Charlie Day. He has a terrific comedic presence and naturalness to himself that makes him a pleasure to watch. Day is also joined by some great improv comedic talent that includes Tracy Morgan, Jillian Bell and Kumail Nanjiani, who all shine in their scenes. However, it is a very by the numbers comedy that never does anything original or off the cuff. The movie plays things very safe and seems almost afraid to do something really out of the ordinary that would make us laugh more than just a little chuckle, it felt like a movie that was once a very original script, turned in to something formulaic and bland thanks to studio involvement. Ice Cube delivered quite a boring performance in this film, doing absolutely nothing we have never seen him do before, and failing to make some comedic changes, like he did in the Jump Street movies. Instead, he goes for a bland delivery of his dialogue that makes for an unsatisfactory viewing, as the film builds up to him punching Day in the face, a lackluster set up. Has it moments, but quite forgettable. If you are a big fan of any of this movie's comedic talents, then you might want to give it a watch, but Fish Fight is an unexceptional, mundane comedy that never surprised me. A school teacher is challenged to fight another teacher after unintentionally getting him fired. Best Performance: Charlie Day / Worst Performance: Ice Cube
