JeruZalem: Its 1972. A priest meets a rabbi and an imam. No, its not a joke, they tell him about a woman who has risen from the dead. Yes! She's a Zombie! 2015. Two American girls head to Israel for a holiday. On the plane they meet Kevin, an anthropologist with an interest in the Undead. He persuades them to accompany him to Jerusalem where he soon realises something is not right. However its presumed he is suffering from Jerusalem Syndrome and he's detained in an Asylum. Then comes the Zombie Outbreak...These are no ordinary Zombies, they have wings and pointed ears! Most of the film takes place in the Old City of Jerusalem and in the tunnels underneath. Great images of jets and helicopters firing into the Old City which is put under quarantine. The story is told through found footage from the Google Glass one of tourists is wearing.Good Zombie film which could have better if there had been a bigger budget. 7/10.

The only reason I give this movie two stars instead of one is because the directors and writers had a good plot and good settings throughout the movie. The movie started out great and the concept was fantastic. The main character was terrible! She was an annoying character from the start when she chased the boy down the alley, fell down the stairs and just sat there whining. I had no sympathy for her the entire movie, especially when she insisted everyone stop heading to safety so she could rescue a guy she had just met. She is the idiot character that is supposed to die at the beginning of a horror film and instead they decided to make her the main character. If they had made her a smarter, savvier girl then this movie would have been fantastic. Warning: After the monsters show, all you can here is her whining and crying.

Two Jewish American girls en route to Tel Aviv are tempted into an adventure in the old city of Jerusalem, where unexpected happenings ... happen. All filmed in first person POV through smart-glasses, which allows clever character introductions and neat exposition. The contrast between suburban blandness and the exotic hostel experience of the old stone city is really good, and the mix of cultures feels rich. After that it falls flat in a heartless mash up of Cloverfield, As Above So Below, Grace: The Possession, a bit of zombie fiddling, with some asylum spookiness thrown in, and all without establishing its own myth. The writing goes off the rails at the same time as the protagonist, when she insists on rescuing her boyfriend, and then insists on rescuing her girlfriend, then spends the rest of the movie whimpering right into your ear. And the subplot with the father is completely ditched.Loved the music, especially the brass in the niteclub. The decision to distort the lens in the final 15 mins - things have changed! - was irritating.Overall: engaging start, not so much with the way it developed.

This movie gets too much bad reviews so I want to counter it with my review... this is a great horror movie, decently build up, good special effects (those winged creatures are creepy as hell) and the acting wasn't too bad either. Jerusalem is a great setting for a movie about resurrection and judgement day, with three of the main religions being together in that single city. A few little mistakes and a few predictable twists but apart from that, it's a movie to enjoy in a dark room... Cloverfield-style! I wasn't sure about this title but now I'm sure to add it to my collection because of the frightening moments. 8/10 so watch this one!
