Nightmare pictures! Light realization is really good. It makes you believe anything can at any time jump out of the dark. What I don't like so much is the camera: Too many unnecessary shakes and flickering. Certainly nothing for a big screen because it almost makes you dizzy (Especially annoying in the first scenes before entering the house). But overall very entertaining and able to keep up the suspense.
This is a very boring movie. It is badly written. The acting it o.k but still it very boring. I do not know why it got 6.1. It seems like all you to do to scary kids these day it make it a Found footage movie. Does not matter if it is a slow movie. That has an awful story line. And has an awful ending. You have to be some one who to easy to scary to be scared of this cheesy movie. I do not know why people keep giving it a 7. I give it a 1. If you want see a really scary movie see King Kong (1933). Son of Kong is also very scary. King Kong (1976) is also very scary. King Kong lives is also very scary. King Kong (2005) is also very scary. But this is just a wast of time and money. Do not see it.
Honestly , some Ace ideas but the writers just got carried away and lost the authenticity. Call me picky but found footage films are ten a penny and I thought this was gonna blow my mind but it just got stupid, some of the characters reactions were just shite. Its a shame because there are some genuine truly frightening moments, The scene where they knock the exit doors open to find another corridor (instead of the outside) was a proper head F**K. But then its riddled with stupid dumb reactions, REALLY if you found yourself stuck in this mental asylum would you honestly be able to sleep never mind wanting to!!! And what about when the girl wakes up with HELLO torn into her bare back! Great idea BUT she basically took it in her stride YEAH RIGHT. GREAT ideas totally fake shite reactions. Ruined it for me. I don't even want to start my issues with the sequel. Could've been a classic
