Feast isn't anything special to write home about. Its a gross, schlocky monster movie that failed to really scare but provided some intended and unintended laughter. So it was firmly in the so bad it was good category. The plot is pretty simple. A group in a remote desert bar are terrorized by a bunch of horrible monsters. The film's only noteworthy features are 1. Ben Affleck and Matt Damon produced it as part of second season of their reality show Project Greenlight (2001-2002) and 2. There is an uncomfortable amount of monster seamen. I actually remember an episode of the show where Affleck and, I'm assuming director John Gulager were discussing how to avoid an NC-17 rating for the film while still incorporating a monster sex scene. This discussion involved a prototype monster-dong the size of which would make H.R. Giger blush. Needless to say the scene was 'tastefully' incorporated. The dong, at least the one portrayed on Project Greenlight was not.

If there's one film from the 2000s that's guaranteed to tickle your funny bone as much as it tests your gag reflex, it's "Feast." Produced under the Project Greenlight umbrella, the debut effort from director John Gulager became a cult classic for horror fans almost immediately upon impact. With its tongue planted firmly in cheek, the film mixes ample amounts of gore with equal parts humor with purely entertaining results.Almost like "Tremors" meets "From Dusk 'Till Dawn" (and maybe a little bit of "Roadhouse") a group of rag-tag survivors find themselves trapped in a dive bar while bizarre creatures with an insatiable appetite for human blood lurk outside. With hardly any likable or moral characters among the bunch, it's anyone's guess as to who will survive (albeit with a killer hangover) and who will be turned into pub food for the unwelcome patrons. Will Henry Rollins lead the crew to victory in his pink sweatpants? Or will Jason Mewes -- sans Silent Bob -- turn out to be the unlikely hero? One thing is for certain, there are a lot of characters and plenty of potential for unfortunate circumstances. While the film is admittedly rather low-brow, it gets by with a lot of charm thanks to its script by late-"Saw" series scribes Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton. There are a lot of characters to sift through in the film's brief 80 minute run-time, and not only are most of them set up and defined rather well early on, but the pace never lets up for one minute, resulting in a powder-keg of horrifying action. Whether it's the over-the-top visuals or the constant feeding frenzy of action, Gulager keeps things fun and fresh, ensuring that you'll never want to look away for fear of missing something truly grim and/or gross. With a plethora of visual gags that will make you, for lack of a better term, gag and a relentless sense of humor, "Feast" more than lives up to its name for lovers of b-horror. While those who revel in such madness will likely binge on all the film has to offer, those with a weak stomach and an even weaker sense of humor would be advised to purge themselves of this film immediately.

This movie is just hilariously terrible and I am saying that in the best possible way. This movie is silly and stupid but it is a very entertaining ride. If you are a harsh critic and don't enjoy B movies don't watch this because you will think its garbage but it really is B movie gold. The acting is fair and the special effects and story line are so delectably cheesy. This movie is about a group of people in a bar who are suddenly attacked by a group of disgusting monsters. As you can tell by the description the movie is very simple but never the less it is a decent watch. If you have some beers some friends and some popcorn thise movie makes a perfect watch just to sit back and laugh at.

This movie is..., interesting, surprising. Not scary at all, but it will shock you at points. Hell, as far as I'm concerned, this is a very bloody comedy. One let down for me was..., well there are a bunch of hot biker chicks in a bar, but none of them get naked. Not really a let down, more of a surprise. Anyways, this movie is full of gore. Not horrendous, not shocking, just..., well, funny. If you watch this movie and expect to be scared, or thrilled in anyway, you will be let down. If you try to figure out what's going on, or where the f*** did these things come from, then you will be frustrated cuz none of this movie makes any sense. I gave it a 7, simply because I enjoyed how utterly stupid everybody was, lots and lots and lots of blood, and some really hot chicks.
