Colombiana (2011)

As a fan of female action this totally rocked me. Zoes acting and physical abilities were shown in this movie. Shes beautiful and talented. The plot might seem cliché but I don't find cliché always a bad thing.. there was some amateur work from supporting actors but no big deal.. Its a revenge story thats about redemption as well as Zoe said in an interview and you can feel that in the end. Its a love or hate thing and I loved it. Im not saying its a really good movie. It has its flaws but without some of the flaws it loses its point. If they had changed some things it could have been a great film generally, cuz many people hated it. Even though I think its men that hate women in action movies, cuz there are a lot of them I know that would only watch it so they can diss it.. I totally recommend it to female action fans and action fans in general who can watch a woman hold a gun without criticizing every scene. Not a very good movie but I enjoyed it tremendously

Zoe Saldana is one of the finest action female action stars today, her ability to kick ass and deliver emotion at the same time is incredible. Colombiana is a spectacular action vehicle led by Saldana as an assassin out to exact revenge on the men who brutally murdered her family. The story is familiar revenge territory but I liked the characters and their dedication to meet their goals. The police, always behind the tail but still one step behind the killer. There's some blistering action throughout, the opening is quiet yet tense as Cataleya purposely enters a prison and sneaks around narrowly avoiding detection. The villa scene with the pool sharks is very stealthy and stylish, but the finale is where the showdown really starts as gunfire, wildly chaotic explosions and violence break out in spectacular style, Olivier Megaton's fast cut editing is just breathless and I love the sunbaked cinematography. This is one of my all time favourite films, Zoe Saldana is pure talent in the role, convincing as a killer yet innocent and sweet. Amandla Stenberg is absolutely brilliant as young Cataleya whose performance opens the first twenty odd minutes, Stenberg is a little revelation and a thrill to watch as she evades gunmen and goes on her own journey. Yet another marvellous female led action movie that delivers fierce action and a solid storyline bolstered down by exceptional performances.

OK i've read all of it(the critics). Fact is if you keep your mind out and fill the gaps using your mind it's one of the best movies ever. I can watch it over and over again. Now as I'm required 10 lines of text by "IMDb" i must add some more. If you haven't seen it I recommend it. If you did and you disagree same as above Now it's still not 10 lines What to do about it? The flick is great no doubt about it. 10 lines of text, this might be my first and very last review, thanks to IMDb. Now that I'm adding nonsense and nonsense, but believe me, this flick is wort a watch. Of Angelina Jolie was in the title role Columbiana would get a 9 rating.A 'Strong Woman' - action - crime - drug cartel - bad cop CIA - good cop FBI, film in which the men play bit-parts. A good role reversal and pleasing to see.Its a good film. The plot may have some less than credible leaps and the ending is a bit 'sloppy' but you don't see that in the pace of action, good cinematography and actor's good performances.Do I really need ten lines?And anotherand another
