Ok, So imagine, you are at school and in class when your best friend who's sitting next to you starts throwing up blood. You follow them after they run out of class and find them seizing and looking like a zombie, all while there has been news of a new virus that is spreading in California. School is cancelled and you drive home. Your parent calls you from out of town saying it's a big deal and they aren't letting them back into town. What do you do? Well these two sisters decided to laugh and act like ohh nice we are home alone. Acting as though it's just a normal day. What? I don't know I just feel like no one in the history of anybody would ever do what they are doing in this situation. Why wouldn't you be checking the status of the virus and maybe try to leave town before it gets too bad because they just aren't letting people in but if you tried you could leave right so why would you just act like it's not a big deal like you might die. Anyways it was entertaining and fun to watch anyways sometimes you need a movie like this.
A slow horror movie filled with dialogue like ^ - Are you wearing makeup? * - Yea like a little. Do I look like a hooker? ^ - Yeah but like a rally high class hooker. *- Od Kaeh :D :D ^- Do you wana dance? * - Coohand anyone can figure out the rest of the nonsense in all the rest of the dialogues. Story was fine, pretty good in fact since it deals with the consequences of a strange infection on human nature, but I think the directing was pretty bad. There is no sci-fi in Viral, so 4/10 and I wont watch it again.
Stupid decision after stupid decision, this movie follow every cliché of how brainless the movie industry depicts every main character in horror movies.Characters are half-likable, plot is half-developed, disease makes half-sense. Cut your expectations in half, and maybe you'll be able to enjoy (half of) this movie.
It baffles me how nowadays you can just pick 3 or 4 old movies, mush them together and make a new one... I won't say Viral is necessarily a bad movie, what I can say is that it horribly lacks originality, it is very predictable and brings utterly nothing new to the table. Watching the same regurgitated story over and over is really getting tiring... The movie lazily rips off elements from other movies as they are without even bothering to switch things up. It's basically the combination of Carriers (2009), The Crazies (2010), Maggie (2015), and The Hive(2015).
