Freerunner (2011)

If you're considering for even one second, watching this movie, don't. Watch the trailer, (because it's pretty good and contains pretty much every half-decent bit of parkour the movie contains), and then save yourself the vomit and don't watch the actual movie. As a traceur, (freerunner, if you must), I was told to watch this film because it was such a travesty. I was informed correctly. The way it showcases freerunning is disgusting, we are not violent thugs. That aside, it was possibly the worst movie I have ever seen, the acting, voice-overs and plot were all worse than that of those $10-budget horror flicks, that are on at 1am and are only shown at all because they have nudity in them. I'm not overly surprised that Ryan Doyle, (Finch), was eager to put his face on this, but most real freerunners would hate this film and its message as much as everyone else obviously does. you know those movies that are so bad that they are hilarious, this one is not even funny for that reason, it actually makes one want to be sick. Freerun away from this movie, you cannot get your valuable time back!

This movie is amazing I loved almost every bit. Ryan Doyle plays Finch who is without a doubt the best free runner in the movie. I watched this movie many times and could not get enough of it the sound track was amazing including the Lions Rampant and Panther 1 as the amazing first two intro songs. This movie will make you want to fly no CGI everything you see was done there using the amazing french art of free running (also known as "Parkour" there is nothing like this movie the only free run comedy there is a action movie called district b13 that features the inventor of free running David Belle this movie is everything you want: action, drama, comedy, with a little bit of romance in between it all.

The characters in Freerunner are an environmentalist's delight. They zip from place to place in the city, using only their legs! Yes, no fuel, no harmful gases, no pollution. But those who have watched this move would have felt some pollution could have been risked by dumping these guys(no offense to the actors) in a car(tied to a 100 kiloton steel ball) and pushing it off a bridge :p All those prancing off walls, windows, restaurant tables & vehicles gave me a little headache after a while. Me thinks, freerunning is good to watch as a documentary, not in a movie with silly plot & characters.Sean Farris as Ryan does a neat job but he's more of a physical actor than mental, if you know what I mean. As long as he gets action roles, his life in Hollywood should go just fine :) Amanda Fuller as Dalores(Ryan's girlfriend) was duh in acting but damn! in shape ;) Some other actors like Ryan Doyle as Finch(Ryan's biggest competitor), Tamer Hassan as the free runners' greedy manager and Danny Dyer as the psychotic businessman Mr.Frank(making millions out of the lives of the free runners) are good but all their efforts were finally for nothing really.Any good deeds? Yeah, some of those cartwheeling, long jumps, high jumps...that they call freerunning. But many scenes later, you get tired and want to arrest them for public viewing nuisance charges.Verdict: The last I heard, the producers are now wanted felons for having made this movie. Free runners, get them :p

Films come and go this film has gone,I was in stitches badly filmed ,badly acted and what could have been a good script never surfaced the only good parts of the film was the English guy in the hat lol. IMDb ratings went astray with this one same as Drive with hints of Running Man. What am i saying this was Running man for 2011 if you like a laugh and have 90mins to waste it's worth £3 of anyones money in the reduced bin at blockbusters Danny dyer does his best but with a bad lines he drowns. Sean Faris plays a competent role but i looked at him and thought it was a young Tom Cruise and that thought stuck with me through the film Weird!!! The Film should be available at all good Car Boot sales soon. lol :)
