*****MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS*****Wow! The worse movie ever! Based on a 13,412 user rating this movie was given a 6.3 (probably by the same people who voted for Trump) absolutely horrible! This awesome kid who tries to motivate a brain dead High School, gets hit by lightning and dies. And I'm thinking maybe they will publish his magazine at the end, perhaps, it goes viral or something. Nada, zip, zero, and last but not least...NOTHING! I mean, if there was some way for me to be reimbursed for the loss of the 1hr 30min this movie has taken from my life span, I would certainly pursue that avenue!

"Struck By Lightning" is one of those rare cases in which you laugh at the used comedy and feel the drama inside you. At least, that happened to me.While reading online that the main character was unlikeable, I almost immediately liked him when I started watching. A sarcastic teenage boy may be unlikeable to some people, but to me it is pure perfection. That could be because Chris Colfer - who also wrote the script and published it as a book - did an excellent job with his performance. Chris' own creation Carson Phillips is a beautiful character and actually develops throughout the film. Character development is something that is lacking in films and TV-series nowadays. The story goes along so well which is also a praise for Colfer's writing. Carson is a member of the writer's club and aspires to go to Northwestern University. But his life is filled with sarcasm and bitterness about high school. Eventually he learns to live in the moment and to not only think about the future, but also about the present. Sadly, he will not go to his beloved university but leaves a legacy for a lot of people (friend, peers, family) behind. It is a film with a bittersweet ending. Bitter because of the tragedy that happened to him at the start of the film (it is called "Struck By Lightning") and sweet because of him realizing that he had already accomplished something.Every member of the cast does his job so well at portraying their own character. Carson's mother, his dad, his best friend who records her life (Rebel Wilson) and many more are also delightful characters. Some are clichés, but high school is full of clichés. Sometimes you have got to embrace them.To finalize this review, I advice everyone to watch this film. It will be an incredible experience of drama and comedy.

It starts a little slow but overall,I like it.The casting is perfect and the everyone can relate.Everyone can remember the groups, clubs, and personalities. The blackmailing isn't done maliciously. The subject of divorce and how its handled in this film is done well and i think some kids could benefit here.I find the dialog between mother and son refreshing. Its what I think most teenagers would like to say to their parents and peers but don't.Spoiler:The float scene is my favorite, although short.Clever, comical, thoughtful, and entertaining. Nice soundtrack.Filming is a wee shaky. I wish I had the chance to see in big screen.Good job!
