Hi guys. This is a badly written story. Not much good humor even for a kids movie/chick flick. It certainly isn't the worst in the genre. Slighty offensive to gay people through stereotyping. A few plot holes. On the bright sight I find the acting in itself overall not to bad. There are a few laughs and funny lines. But I can't say I did want to watch it till the end I only did it so I could give a honest rating and review. The film is predictable until the end. And doesn't follow a strong storyline. Which shouldn't be that hard in the genre and even in the story in the film. They could have done a better job at the characters because they aren't very likable as well. I hope this was helpful. Have a nice day.

Holly Hamilton (Hilary Duff) keeps having to move every time her mother (Heather Locklear) breaks up with her jerk boyfriends. Now they're in Brooklyn. Holly decides to give her mother a secret admirer to cheer her up and maybe keep her in town. When buffoon Lenny (Mike O'Malley) starts dating her mother, she catfish her mother to break them up. Only it gets more and more complicated with her new friend's uncle Ben (Chris Noth). This is meant to be cute, but Holly is just too annoyingly selfish. This scheme is not the least bit adorable. It doesn't justify anything she does. She literally is about to break up a wedding for no good reason. It is possibly the least romantic movie around. Hilary Duff is so cutesy bratty. Even if the movie could play this seriously, it had no shot of being good.

This was one of those movies that was pleasant to watch but not a huge must see! If it wasn't for Hilary duff i'd probably be bored. Some funny moments that made me laugh out loud. I have seen Hilary duff in better films but this easy going basic story about true love and family relationships is the average girly PG film with funny lines and brilliant effort! Actors... the actors were all watchable and played there parts well obviously like i've said Hilary was best. They were lucky to have her.Script... I must say if i'd just seen half of the film i wouldn't be that willing to see the rest but at least the script was kid of cleverOverall i give this movie a six which i believe is fair

Love stories never change, this one plays mix up to a satisfying conclusion. Hillary Duff, whose performance is above par, works tirelessly at trying to keep her mom (Heather Locklear) happy and engaged in a fake relationship. Chris Noth, Big Guy from Sex And The City, is the adviser/cupid/love interest in this inventive comedy. The director has thought about casting, Locklear as an excessive dater. Noth as an acetic restaurant owner, and Duff as a cupid who is unsure about what she's doing. The cast is well put together, especially, The Styx Band, whose hits lace this film like whipped cream. "Lady" is sung on the streets of brooklyn, "Babe" becomes a hand holder and Mr. Roboto becomes a true Hoboken spectacle.
