I remember absolutely loving this film as a child.Upon a rewatch, I was left feeling underwhelmed. What could I have been thinking? I was 10ish years old and for the time this was top notch entertainment. Some things are best left in the past and this film just may be one of them.

This is by far one of the darkest movies I've ever watched. Within the first 10 minutes of the movie witness the delusions of Stockholm Syndrome. Not long after, comes the complete meltdown of a war vet alienated by PTSD. "IT'S MY FUNCTION," as he puts it.Continue watching for allusions toward the superficial and lonely stage of a Hollywood star (or should I say, flower), organ trade (pawnshop), and my favorite part of the movie where a junkyard, featuring the song, "Worthless" serves metaphor to retirement homes.Retirement homes are presented as a junkyard in this movie. Think long and hard about that before calling this a children's movie. The antagonist is a child, "Master" of a group of home appliances each suffering from unique mental illnesses including but not limited narcissism, anxiety/panic attacks, depression, dissociative identity disorder, and co-dependency.It's a disturbing tale brilliantly disguised as a children's movie.

Amazing movie with a great story. story: A bunch of house supplies are worrying about their owner because he hasn't returned home in a long time. so toaster, blanky ( my favorite character),lampy, radio and kirby the hoover decide to go find him. This movie has a lot of amazing but sad/scary moments (which is good) SPOILERS: these include toaster having a dream about the master being dragged by a hand made out of smoke then a clown saying "run" in a creepy tone. also a sad scene is where cars are being picked up by a magnet and being crushed by a giant thingy while they all sing about their death. that might sound bad but the movie is Really GOOD GO SEE IT GO SEE IT WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? WATCH IT!!!

It's been a while since I've seen The Brave Little Toaster. Probably since I was under 10, so around 15+ years ago. It was always a favorite of mine and whenever I talk with people about favorite childhood flicks, The Brave Little Toaster is always brought up, whether by me or someone I'm with. So when I had the opportunity to re-watch it, I sprang to the chance. And not surprisingly it's still a fantastic movie. The story of Toaster, Kirby (Vaccum), Lamp, Radio, Blanket and their journey to find their Master. Their Master was a little boy who used and cared for them. After years have passed with time and time again of disappointment the five friends travel the country-side and try to conquer amazing obstacles. Only their friendship, and the willingness to find their master is their only hope of making and surviving the arduous journey. As I watched it, it was remarkable that I remembered almost every single scene as it played out. With social commentary (which I had no clue about back then), emotional scenes (the flower and it's reflection) and even scary as heck clowns (probably a big reason IT scared the heck outta me as well), the flick delivers an unbelievable amount of entertainment. And I haven't even talked about Phil Hartman, the songs, John Lovitz and the amazing humor.Back when I was watching Secret of the NIMH, Transformers, He-Man, The Care Bears, Fraggle Rock etc. only a few do I always consistently mention as being timeless classics and without a doubt, The Brave Little Toaster is one of the best and one of my favorite children animations flicks of all time.
