Better watch Out! is actually the warning to anyone unfortunate enough to place this pathetic excuse for a film into their DVD/Blu-Ray player (True someone has to in this case myself. lol). From the start this film shows that the writer and director have seen a series of films including Black cat, Home Alone, When a Stranger calls and of course Scream. Unfortunately they learnt nothing from these experiences. This leads the film into as others have mentioned the juvenile realm of the many angst ridden teenagers who have had a crush on their babysitter and have an overwhelming need to try and prove themselves to the world. You have the usual drug references seemingly necessary to films in this day and age to satisfy a certain strata of society. The female heroine is along with the rest of the cast poorly fleshed out while still retaining the usual hackneyed characteristics of a babysitter based film. There are no real scares, the plot is apparent from the get go and the cast have been drawn from the lowest end of the drama school dropout list. I have read some reviews that praise the cast and I can only say personally that they were obviously watching a different film with a different cast.It is a shame that these types of film are sold at prices ranging up to £10 a shot as the buyer should be compensated. If any film deserved to be in the sold free with a can of drink category this is one.My advise if to walk quickly away from this title and invest in something from the 70s or early 80s when babysitters were terrorised by a host of strangers from within and without the home!

A film that pretendes to be clever but fails on execution. It starts with every horror movie cliché (its intended) so you don't see the twist coming, which is a smart one. The problem is that the execution is boring, its not disturbing, not sinister, it could have more impact if it had an obscure atmosphere but it is al mixed with stupid jokes, like a PG-13 movie. Kinda entertaining but not as impressive as the critics say. (I recommend The visit, that's a funny one)

Ashley has been babysitting Luke since he was 8. He is now 12, going on 13. A pre-Christmas dinner takes his parents out, following which a home invasion means that Ashley needs to be unusually resourceful. This horror-ish movie, with strong elements of black comedy, starts out in utterly predictable mode, with scads of not-very-gracefully orchestrated made-you-jump moments. There is a reason why this film works so hard early on to make you believe that it is a by-rote home invasion movie, and that is because it wants to spring a trap on you.It won't work for everyone, but it worked for me, and turned this film from something I was expecting to something I really wasn't. And I don't want to say more than that.If you don't like this sort of movie then there is no reason to expect you will like this one. If, on the other hand, you do enjoy the suspense of home murder movies, but you are fed up with their predictability, then try this one - it may offer you some surprises.

I love horror films & enjoyed this, it was different to what I expected and held my interest all the way through. Not cheesy or predictable at all, I'm not sure why some people didn't like it? It has some jumps and also twists, it certainly had many moments that left me shocked (in a good way) definitely worth a watch!
