Some films are hit and miss. With the film The Invisible there are more misses than there were hits. The acting by the main characters is decent as is the cinematography and musical score. What is grossly lacking though is in the storyline. I found the script to be weak and so the audience has a hard time hanging in waiting for a good ending. Instead the ending (without giving it away) is oh so typical that I ended up saying at the film's end....really? You have got to be kidding. The last 30 minutes concentrated on having the two main actors Justin Chatwin who plays Nick Powell (who is the deceased victim who miraculously comes back to life as a supernatural being whispering in his co-stars ear) and Margarita Levieva who plays the confused and volatile Annie Newton whose goal is to bring Nick Powell back from the dead before time runs out.Unfortunately time does not run out soon enough for this moviegoer who watched the film go downhill to the bitter end. Not the greatest mystery, suspense, dramatic film. I rate the picture a 4 out of 10 for the actors trying to make something out of a story line that was weak. I also suggest you pass on this one.

This movie may be no masterpiece but I thought it was OK. I liked the story, the cast was OK, and everything I thought was just average. I will say after what I saw, this has got to be the most disturbing and chilling movie, I have ever watched. Not to give too much away, its a pseudo murder, ghostly thriller story. Thats what got me hooked to this movie. I was literally getting chills at every moment something big was going to happen and it just stuck with me until the ending. I will say, there were some moments that I felt were weak. Then there were moments where I felt sorry and connected with some of the characters. (Thats a total different story and I don't want to talk about it.) Anyway, I wouldn't recommend this to a horror fan but for anyone that just wants to get a good chill or enjoys something along the lines of a good ghost story. I find that karma since this movie is based off a book (sorry its not Stephen King). Overall, this gets a 6 out of 10.

Okay, I'm just going to state the obvious: Everyone who hates this movie was just disappointed by the fact that wasn't another shitty teen horror flick. I, for one, am grateful for this, because this movie was so much more. Sure, the trailers were a bit misleading, but if you watch it with an open mind I think you would enjoy it. I certainly did. Apart from the main story line of trying to save his own life, there was a lot of underlying beauty in the relationship between victim and villain.Another thing I liked about this film was the fact that the main character Nick wasn't a saint. Everyone had their dark moments. And that made the characters seem real. It gave the film depth. If you have the chance to see this movie, don't pass it up. It's enthralling and will keep you totally entertained for two hours.I give it 8/10.

going into this movie,i had no idea what to expect.what i got was a well written, well directed, well acted film.it's not like any film i've seen before.on an emotional level,it's very touching.the acting is superb, but Justin Chatwin and Margarita Levieva(who are really the central characters)are standouts,in my opinion.they each inhabit their characters.it's a complex(but not complicated) film with many themes running through it.hatred, love, loss, sorrow re4demptioand irony,to name a few.this film sticks with you after viewing it.you really have to take some time to digest what you have seen.it bears more than one viewing.for me,The Invisible is an 8/10
