This indie film is just plain fun. Sure, it's amateurish, but...It mentions some real ideas in physics (past and present) -- GUF theory; quantum theory; string theory; membranes; etc.It includes some actual history about Thomas Edison.It names some real physicists -- Einstein (obviously), Tesla, Bohr, etc. (check out the opening credits!)The props (early electronic devices) look authentic.One of the writers seems to have a medical background -- some nice details.Given the film's limited budget, the special effects are pretty good.The acting is good enough to carry the plot.I would compare this movie favorably to the first "Flatliners" film (I haven't seen the recent remake).Watch it and judge for yourself.
Warning: If you haven't watched the movie, don't read my review. It was an awesome science fiction movie. Einstein's God Model takes the audiences on a journey to see the other universe and the connections between them.The value of this movie is to entertain the audiences with science (physic) to make them curious about physics and all aspects of science and this is how you can support a theory, an idea. The message that story conveys is the life after death and the connection with string theory and the squares model. Besides of that, Phillip showed on his movie that if you want to get people to care about what you care, use the human story with heavy science that is what makes people think and entertained.
One thing that bothers me about films budgeted at $2M or less is poor cinematography. This film grabs you from the trailer and continues with great cinematography throughout. I'm sure a lot of money was also spent on VFX and it helped carry this sci-fi thriller to the end.Kudos. Interesting story also makes EGM a very watchable film. Great work.
Mind blown! Still not quite sure what to make of this tale, but it held my attention all the way through! Great effects and decent acting (with a few exceptions, but that's to be expected with a micro budget I guess). Still the premise and the story carry the day. A bit slow in the middle, but stay with it ... the final act is mesmerizing!
