Wow. This is absolutely the best in family entertainment...if your family surname happened to be Palin or Trump, your IQ is 50 or less and/or your normal idea of wholesome family fun is to try and figure out who just how many "Worst Ever" awards a movie could win the this movie (can we actually call it a movie?) is a handsome winner.Let's just look at the "special" effects alone. This movie features a helicopter that flies without main rotor blades, a twin engine piston aircraft descending from 35,000 feet...an altitude it could not have climbed to within 15,000 feet of and buildings that collapse under earthquakes but are still very patently standing.Audience's should be compensated for their time in watching...or given the opportunity of sticking rusty needles in their eyes as as alternate means of entertainment. For true fans don't miss the sequel "100 degrees above zero Downunder" when a bunch of Australian wildlife band together to eat the excruciating escaping northerners!

It's so bad it's actually a great film. The plot is a mirror of Day After Tomorrow, just with worse acting and no film continuity. Some great one liners and heartfelt (not) emotion. There was obviously no pre-filming research done by the production team: in the UK we drive on the left, have our steering wheels on the right, and the Channel Tunnel isn't a road link; only rail. They did get the logo right though. Product placement? What was great about this film is the awfulness. It's hysterically funny without being a made as a comedy. It's a disaster movie in every sense of the word. Fantastic. I only didn't give it 10 stars because the sets didn't wobble. That would have been worth the final two stars.John Rhys-Davis gave a star performance as a British Officer whilst wearing an American officer's uniform. Just about sums up this film really...

This is the worst movie I have ever seen in my whole life without any kind of doubt. I actually feel i have been violated after watching all the way through this. Since the effect of the earthquake at the beginning, I knew I shouldn't keep watching, I did, I am angry with myself.Almost all of the scenes are a nonsense. The writing and the acting are appalling. Sometimes bad movies tend to make you laugh, this one is so so bad that just makes you cry with remorse!Seen as though i need to add more text to this review, i will take this opportunity to warn any potential viewers - don't watch it, just go right back where you started and find something else to watch... this is the first review i have ever posted, the only reason i am posting this is to warn the general public of what they are letting themselves in for if they press play...you will not be the same after watching 100 degrees below zero....

This movie begins with a volcanic eruption in Iceland which triggers a series of other eruptions and earthquakes all across Europe. The resulting ash emitted from these volcanoes then proceeds to block out the sun which causes a new ice age to develop. While this is occurring a newly-married man named "Steve Foster" (Jeff Fahey) and his wife "Lacey" (Judit Fekete) are flying to London when they realize that they need to get to Paris to rescue Steve's son "Ryan Foster" (Marc McKevitt Ewins) and daughter "Taryn Foster" (Sara Malakul Lane). The story then proceeds to focus on the trouble that both groups have to overcome in order to get to their rendezvous point. Now as far as the overall movie is concerned I must say that trying to capture the magnitude of such an impending disaster was no easy matter. In this specific case the attempt to do so failed quite badly. The special effects were bad and the scenarios weren't very realistic either. In short, those who like disaster films might get some satisfaction out of this one but it certainly isn't one I would recommend to anyone. Accordingly, I rate it as below average.
