I can't believe this has only got a 5.3 rating. I got this lent to me by a friend and watched it on Christmas Eve which is when the film is also set (coincidence). I loved the first one, thought the 2nd was a good follow up but I wasn't expecting what I got for the 3rd. I personally think it is one of the funniest films I've ever seen let alone out of the 3. Mike Epps had me laughing from start to finish and I never thought he could of been funnier than when I seen him in 'All About The Benjamin's' but he just is in this one. Without giving anything away the funniest part of the film for me was when Craig and Day Day were security guards and Day Day thinks he can do anything and say anything to anyone. Honestly I can't express how funny he was being cheeky to everyone who came in contact with him. The whole film just moves along brilliantly and Katt Williams and Terry Crews bring something different to the series. The film is worth watching just to see Terry Crews scream like a woman when Katt Williams has him in a hilarious situation. I don't like to give anything away about a film but will just say that I would recommend this to anyone. I would love to see a final film (Last Friday Of The Month) with Ice Cube, Mike Epps and Chris Tucker in, that would really be a good laugh.

Besides the butchered title and the various negative reviews, "Friday After Next" is actually the funniest film in the "Friday" franchise. It's quirkiness, silliness, and very nice setting works with the movie in a good way.Craig Jones (Ice Cube) and his cousin Day-Day (Mike Epps) return, this time living at their own home. After being robbed by a Santa Claus dressed character, who steals all their money. They need to pay their cranky landlady or they will be beat up by the homosexual neighbor. They get job as security guards in a strip mall were Craig's father, Mr. Jones (John Witherspoon) and Day-Day's dad, Uncle Elroy (Don "D.C." Curry) work. Stores like "Holy Moly Donuts", "Bros. BBQ", and "Pimps and Hos" (ran by Kat Williams) make up the strip. The movie isn't bad as people say it is. The deleted ending is very touching, and some of the chase scenes are fun to watch. Some of the scenes were not needed, but you can tell why they kept them. This is definitely the best of the franchise. I just hope that they use a better title for the possible fourth one. At worst it will be "Friday After Next After Next and the First." Or just called it something simple like "Last Friday" or "Saturday" and leave it at that.Starring: Ice Cube, Mike Epps, John Witherspoon, Don "D.C." Curry, and Kat Williams. Directed by Marcus Raboy.

Well, I do like the Coen brothers, P.T. Anderson, Stanley Kubrick, and other "critically acclaimed" stuff but I must say that I really get a good laugh out of these cheesy, ghetto Friday movies. I love the humour in these movies, it's like the nasty stuff we lay on each other as mates here. The scenes that make me laugh the most are the ones with Miss Pearly. She has to be one of the funniest characters in the series so far. Also her son Damen, another new character, is very funny, especially when he is watching Tupac on the television, or when he is being introduced to people at the party. The brothers Willie and Leroy are even better in this one than in Next Friday, although I did miss Suga. Day-Day has some extremely funny lines, as he did in the previous movie, and I find his character much more naturally acted than the Smokey character in the first movie. The only problem with this movie and the other sequel is that the plot and character development is not as good as in the first movie, even though there are some excellent lines. The DVD is well worth getting for its extras, such as the deleted scenes and the Pork Report.

If "Friday" was successful it was because of Chris Tucker. If "Next Friday" failed it was because of the unfunny Mike Epps. "Friday After Next" recaptured the appeal of "Friday" with the addition of Money Mike (Katt Williams) and Damon (Terry Crews). Those two were absolutely hilarious. Money Mike was full of one liners as the short yet stereotypical pimp. Damon filled in nicely for the menacing but now locked up D-Bo. In fact, I would say that Terry Crews did an even better job as a bully than Tiny Lister. Terry Crews definitely has more range than Tiny Lister, and the writers must have realized that Mike Epps and Ice Cube weren't good enough to sustain an entire movie. "Friday After Next" didn't maintain a steady flow of being funny, but it did have enough laugh-out-loud moments to be considered a funny movie.
