I stump upon this movie last night when searching for a good horror movie to watch and soon when it over i rush into the IMDb page to write a review about it.This is my review about The Signal (2007) a highly underrated horror movie deserve more love and recognizable for all hardcore horror fan out there seeking to see something new.The movie involving a strange signal that been transmission through all cell phone, radio, and television turned people nearby it into psychopaths with only one intended in mind is killing people and when all hell breaks loose a couple of non related people has to figure out the way to survive this situation when they started to question why they not infected. It sometime part black comedy which some truly hilarious scene and part brutal gory action that lead you go from a somehow normal scene to all out terrifying.Minus point is the movie never explained how and why the signal been broadcast with a confusing final arc but hey this is a cult movie you either love it or hate it to death

I was lured in by the DVD cover to this movie, and I had no idea what the story was actually about. So I read the synopsis on the back of the cover and was intrigued. Then I sat down to watch the movie, only to find myself sitting there bored and with a bad taste in my mouth.THis movie was sold well by its wrapping, but the stuff underneath the polished wrapping was really boring and rather anti-climatic.And the storyline was also anti-climatic. It had potential for sure, but ultimately turned out to be a shallow experience that failed to captivate. The only thing worthwhile in "The Signal" was the acts of random violence, but it hardly managed to pull the movie up and out of the gutter. The movie started out nice enough, but then it was on a steep and fast downhill ride. You hope that the movie will get better, but it just didn't happen, and I was actually starting to doze off towards the end.A disappointing and very anti-climatic movie experience. This DVD will go to an early retirement on the movie shelf, that is for sure.

The pest control man who repeatedly sprays poison in peoples' faces, bashes them with objects, has lost touch with reality and people shambling like zombies. That sums it up. If that's what your looking for, then put your mind in "Park" and get ready for 1 1/2 hours of utter rubbish.I'm not even sure what the director set out to accomplish as the end result is so scrambled, convoluted and irksome that it is almost an insult to the viewer's time invested in sitting and waiting for some sense to appear. There won't be any resolutions. It rambles to the very end.

There's a decent, if not original, idea at the heart of this movie, but the film makers are trying too hard to be arty and clever for it to ever really work.Telling the story in three parts is a terrible idea. It's such a basic story that's being told that it feels more like a way to extend it to feature length than a worthwhile method of story telling. Part 1 is dark and brooding, part 2 is like a comedy and part 3 tries - but fails - to tie the whole thing together.I liked part 1. It had a great atmosphere and such a feeling of dread that's it's the only part of this 'horror' movie that even approached being scary. It's also getting somewhere when it cuts to part 2, which is so tonally different that it's like a different movie. Don't get me wrong, I liked part 2, but it would have been better on it's own rather than lodged haphazardly between the far more similar parts 1 and 3.Part 3 struggled to do something and provide a satisfying conclusion. The trouble was that this movie went from the madness caused by the signal turning people into homicidal maniacs into people who talk at random and don't know what's happening. Add the misplaced cutaways and editing tricks and it just becomes a confusing mess. The end just fizzles out and its unsatisfying, muddled and dull nature just about sums up the movie.Having these three parts as three separate stories would have made for a better experience overall. The main story could have easily been told in Part 1, Part 2 (with a few tweaks) could have stayed the same and then Part 3 could have been a proper finale rather then the delay of something that could have happened an hour beforehand. The best part of this movie can be found much better elsewhere. The acting was all over the place, with some pretty bad examples on show (unfortunately including a character who appears predominantly in all 3 parts)I really did want to like this film, but I just can't do it. A nice effort, but just not a very good result.
